Together with fellow Women’s Rights organizations in Arua City, we spent two inspiring days in a peace-building training facilitated by @TheWIPCentre at our Arua head offices under the Women-Led Movement for Peace (WLMfP). This training deepened our understanding of the processes that sustain peace and knowledge that is urgently needed as Uganda heads toward the 2026 elections. A peaceful society is essential for everyone, but especially for women, who often carry the heaviest burdens during times of conflict. When communities choose dialogue over violence, women can participate freely in political spaces, protect their livelihoods, and support their families without fear. As we move closer to the election period, we remain committed to promoting peace, amplifying women’s voices, and ensuring that safety, dignity, and inclusion guide our democratic journey. #PeaceFor2026 #WomenForPeace
