Larry's guide for @IHSAA state basketball travel (on the road not the court):
1. Points go on the scoreboard- not your license.
2. Game tickets > speeding tickets.
3. Be a team player- have a designated driver.
4. Get your head in the game and watch for pedestrians.

Storms are brewing for much of Iowa! If you must drive during severe weather, turn your low beams on, slow down, and never drive through standing water! ⛈️
Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are forecast from tonight through Friday. A few storms could produce large hail late tonight, then all modes of severe weather may be possible from Friday afternoon into early Friday night. Stay tuned for forecast updates!
For National Retro Day we're going back in time to 1905. On September 29, 1905, near Hampton in Franklin County, a local financier named Fred Harriman lost control of his Oldsmobile and became Iowa's first recorded traffic fatality.

This is why slowing down and leaving plenty of space is so important! Roads are still bad across the state so travel with caution and match your speed to the conditions. ‼️
Trp. Goldsberry stepped out to help a motorist during the storm near Altoona last night. Another vehicle, going too fast for conditions, crashed into the patrol car. Thankfully, no one was hurt. Slow down, leave extra space & drive for the conditions. Help keep EVERYONE safe!

No matter what team you root for, fans don't let fans drive drunk.
Thank you to @dolldsm for providing this voucher!
Is this Arendelle? No, it's Iowa in the winter. With wind chills dropping to dangerous lows, it's about to feel colder than Elsa's ice palace. If you have to travel in the bitter cold, prepare ahead of time so you don't get stuck with a frozen heart (or car). ❄️
🗣️Thank you, @dolldsm for the Decide To Ride program! Thank you, to the 2,237 folks that made the smart decision to get a sober ride and potentially saved many lives. 👏 👏
