@LauraRBelin@RepMMM@RepAshleyHinson@ZachNunn@RepFeenstra The United States has given $175 Billion to Ukraine since Russia invaded. I hope we will continue to support them but the era of US being the main guarantor of European freedom has to transition to Europe standing up for itself and not simply profiting from our largess.
@IowaPress We should treat all Iowans equally. For example: We shouldn't discount Rob Sands just because half of his political contributions ($7million) come from his wife's family. Should we say giving political office to the richest Iowans is the way to go?
It is easy for Americans to say they don't like expensive gasoline and all that it causes. The fact is, at some point, Iran had to be confronted. They enjoy the process as it hastens the coming of their final solution (according to their radical eschatology).
My hope is that a new Iran emerges with freedom of expression and democratic rule.
It is shortsighted to think it doesn't benefit Americans to have news about freedom (free enterprise, free speech, intellectual freedom, religious freedom) broadcast to parts of the world who are dealing with those issues. I don't know what the exact pricetag should be but we SHOULD be shouting out about the good things we have which could be beneficial to others.
@BohannanIowa@millermeeks I love this approach you take : "We prefer cheap gas and tomatoes over stopping a terrorist regime from having a nuclear weapon." History will remember your values.
@RobSandIA We may want to rotate crops or simply keep pulling out the weeds that keep cropping up. Some weeds look like they are something valuable at first but time shows us what they really are.
@AdamSchiff Please post this several more times over the course of the campaign. It helps Iowans understand who the future friends of Josh Turek would be. We can recognize truthfulness and honesty or dishonesty a mile away.
Affordability issues were largely caused by inflation due to massive government spending of borrowed money. This didn't simply raise prices, it devalued the money used to buy everything. Additional borrowed money spending will not solve this issue. Here is our debt: https://t.co/5Maxae6Fbl
I find that Trump and the current Iowa Governor are so unpopular with certain people like @SarahLongwell25 but not necessarily by all or even most Iowans.
Don't you think it is refreshing that even active Republicans decided that a better candidate for Governor was Lahn vs Feenstra despite Trumps endorsement. We simply said "thanks for sharing, we appreciate you but think we'll do something better".
Sadly, Feenstra took for granted he was the nominee. He didn't participate in debates so the people could not see directly how he compared to the other candidates. He touted his Trump connection in his ads but all of the candidates are supportive of Republican efforts nationally. Presumption isnt a good starting point in a campaign.
@Lindsay4Iowa Having a diminished Iran that is less capable of funding Hamas, Hezbolla, the Houthis and attacking peaceful neighbors as well as the West as a whole makes for a more peaceful and productive world. No else took on that task. The USA did and the world is better for it.
@BohannanIowa Iowans do know that there is corruption and that is why the law was changed so able bodied people have to work or volunteer to help others in order to get Medicaid and we will no longer give free healthcare to foreign nationals. That is common sense.
You are not forced to watch her nor are you forced to see the world with her eyes. Don't assume people's vulnerabilities when you hear appeals made for causes. All are capable of responding to such in the manner they feel drawn to respond. She obviously is not appealing for pennies from the poorest but to those who are able to respond. Judge not, lest you be judged.
