So @FoxNews spent weeks talking about the “vandals” destroying the reflecting pool. Now the the Govt has admitted that Trump hired terrible contractors who screwed it up and dropped the charges against the “vandal” our friends at @FoxNews have no coverage of that fact.
So in the minds of most Fox viewers, it was still vandalized.
They are the worst.
We can’t lose sight of this.
Millions of families are going hungry in this country because Donald Trump wanted to give a tax break to billionaires.
It’s a moral abomination.
.@JamesTalarico: Since taking office, Ken Paxton has become a multi-millionaire — all while most Texans’ pay has remained stagnant for decades. He now owns 15 homes, while most Texans can't afford one. He's taken bribes from wealthy donors, all while he blocks overtime pay for Texas workers and guts our healthcare. He was one of the Attorneys General who led the fight against the Affordable Care Act, which has led to premiums skyrocketing for Texans all over the state. He's taken these lavish vacations to Iceland, to England on the 4th of July… Most Texans can't afford to take a vacation.
Ken Paxton's corruption is costing us in the state of Texas. It's why the people closest to Ken Paxton know he's unfit for office. His own party impeached him in the Texas House. His own staff reported him to the FBI. His own defense attorney just endorsed me in this race. I'm kind of expecting his family dog to run away and head over to my house any day now.
In a time when we're all so divided, there is one thing that Texans — Democrats, Independents, and Republicans — can agree on: We can't afford Ken Paxton's corruption.
It has been estimated that the Trump Crime Family owes up to $100 million in back taxes because they cheated.
Explain to me exactly why Trump is being allowed to give himself immunity and steal this money from us?
Happy birthday, @BarackObama! 65 never looked better. Every day, you make me a better person, and I’m thankful for all the ways you show up for our family and our country. Love you. ❤️
NEW: The family of Virginia Giuffre releases the following statement urging Senator to vote NO on Blanche tomorrow:
“We, the family of Virginia Roberts Giuffre, urge the Senate Judiciary Committee to reject Todd Blanche’s bid for attorney general.
Todd Blanche failed survivors. He failed them during the release of the Epstein files, and continues to fail them today by refusing to release the rest of the two million files withheld by his Department of Justice. He failed our survivor sisters by releasing their personal information, social security numbers, addresses and images.
Blanche failed our family when he looked us in the eye and refused to commit to pursuing any investigations based on Virginia’s statements, testimony, and evidence, all of which he has possession of.
To every senator of the Judiciary Committee: if you vote for Todd Blanche tomorrow, your message to Americans is clear. You do not care about truth, justice, or accountability. Your regard for law and order matters only when it suits you–and you will let criminals run free when it does not.
Todd Blanche has proven he is unfit to be attorney general at every moment. Stand up for survivors, and vote no.”

Rosie O’Donnell on Trump: “I told the truth that every New Yorker my age knows about him: he’s not a self-made man, he got his father’s money, he’s a grifter, he’s a logo-slapper, he’s not in fact a builder, his Apprentice days were all fiction sold as fact and people believed them. This guy’s a joke, he’s a used car salesman, he’s a snake oil salesman”
Donald Trump wants to put an innocent man in prison for 10 years rather than admit the no bid contract he offered to his crony was a mistake. Think about how terrible of a person you have to be to do that.
It's a fair question....
"IF HUNTER BIDEN'S LAPTOP AND DICK PICS CAN BE MADE PUBLIC...
IF ASHLEY BIDEN'S DIARY CAN BE MADE PUBLIC....
IF ANTHONY FAUCI'S DIARY CAN BE MADE PUBLIC....
THEN WHY ARE THE EPSTEIN FILES STILL NOT FULLY PUBLIC?"
The real victims on January 6 were:
1. The police who were assaulted.
2. The citizens who voted for Biden and watched as the entire right-wing spin machine has spent years trying to pretend Biden didn't win.
3. Democracy
Exactly 3 months from today we will VOTE. And Democrats are going to win the midterms and take control of both chambers of Congress. I'm manifesting it into existence. You hear me universe? We are ALL going to vote. And the Dems ARE GOING TO WIN the midterms.
Amen.
If Trump was willing to imprison an American Olympic athlete over a false accusation, every American should be alarmed. No president should have the power or the willingness to target citizens based on lies.
Six months have passed since the killings of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.
ICE is still killing people.
How many more deaths will it take before Republicans finally do something?
It's shocking how few understand this IMO.
Trump pardoned the Jan 6 rioters and wants to get them paid to send the message that if you break the law for him, if you 'fight' for him, he will pardon you+pay you for your 'loyalty' to him.
It's for the NEXT TIME he needs the same.
At 9:23 this morning, the White House abruptly dismissed the press traveling with the president of the United States while he was away for the weekend at his private golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey. With the cameras now gone, just three hours later at 12:32 p.m., Donald Trump would share the first of 42 posts on Truth Social in a span of less than 3 hours and 15 minutes. The president’s public meltdown began when he posted his disappointment with one of his appointees, “I don’t know what she was thinking?” before he jumped straight into more delusional and dangerous images. Among the flood of posts, he shared an AI-generated image of himself kissing Jesus on a golden crucifix. He shared a “TRUMP 2028” campaign poster, a fake image of himself walking beside a handcuffed alien on a military base, and a renewed threat to invade Greenland.
He didn’t stop there. He posted a painting of himself as the commanding general, leading Revolutionary War soldiers into battle with his mouth open in a battle cry, while flames consumed the battlefield behind him, and a battered American flag flew overhead. This is how he sees himself. Not as a president spending the weekend at his golf course, but as a warrior king leading his nation into battle, one he would have never had the courage to actually fight in. That fantasy is not harmless, because right now he is leading us deeper into a real war where real people have died.
He also shared a fake image of his face merged with President George Washington’s, split straight down the middle, under the words “250 Years / In God We Trust.” It was a deliberate attempt to place himself alongside the founder of the American republic. Because he sees himself as his equal and inseparable from the nation itself. He’s saying he is Washington and he is the republic.
He posted a map of South America with Venezuela filled in as an American flag and labeled “51st State.” He shared an actual photograph of himself stepping out of a golf cart, hunched forward, a white USA hat in his hand, looking every single day of his eighty years, but with the caption “President Trump ages in reverse!”
Then there was the created image of himself as Elvis Presley in his iconic white rhinestone jumpsuit, with a deep V-neck and with his chest exposed, and a bald eagle embroidered across his heart. In it, Trump, masquerading as Elvis, stands in front of a microphone as though he is about to perform for a waiting crowd. And I couldn’t help but think about the irony of Trump choosing Elvis in this moment, knowing that he spent his final years overmedicated and isolated, surrounded by enablers who told him what he wanted to hear while his body and mind deteriorated. And how Elvis died alone in a bathroom at Graceland while the people closest to him pretended everything was fine. If Trump was trying to choose a metaphor for where he is right now, he could not have picked a more accurate one.
He just kept going. He posted an image of himself as a young man in a military school uniform, seated across a table from present-day Trump, with the caption “Same Guy. Even more energy now!” Present-day Trump is staring adorably at younger Trump. But what the image actually shows is the distance between who he was and who he has become. The young man in the uniform is upright, sharp, but not too far away from bone spurs and draft deferments. The man sitting across from him is eighty years old, and struggling. The fact that he felt compelled to post this, to insist publicly that nothing has changed, tells us everything about what he is afraid of. People who are fine do not need to prove they are fine. People who are declining do.
