@spuki__ I think Rhystic Study's creates the most severe catch-22 of the format. We lose it and and turbo gets to remove all stops. We keep it and midrange hell never ends.
I'm biased about wanting it to stay, as a midrange enjoyer, but wouldn't be too personally upset if it got banned.
Huge d&d campaign finale today! This game's been going for about a year and a half. We're having a roughly 12 hour session today as a massive finale. Super excited for it.
Only even finished it when the Veil crew finally was pushing a clear and I swapped back to raiding with them on main.
TLDR; this discourse is stupid, play the game how you want. People are being weirdly elitist about this whole thing. It's really not that deep.
The whole discourse around sims for XIV mechanics is hilarious. Most everyone whose against it keeps talking about how it "ruins the experience" and how it "takes away from the intended difficulty." I'll never argue against consistency being the game's most important skill. (1/X)
But lo and behold, every pull I did not make a mistake? 1 or more of my 7 fellow clowns did and caused a wipe. It got so bad that I gave up on a fight for the first time since I ever started raiding. Almost bad enough to 'cause me to quit the game entirely. (5/X)
@NerveanaVT I'd love to see Griselbrand come off. Don't think he will, but I'd love to see what people do with him. I'm also curious to see a sans-Rhystic Study world. Not because I think it's too good, but because I wanna see how things would shift.
You know shit's getting real when it's time to break out the notebook.
I've been using this for personal notes on raiding since P8S. Now it's Kefka's turn.
@NerveanaVT 100%
Like, most of the time I feel like I'm wanting it now is because I'm heavy on artifacts already and running the key package and/or Minamo.
