Building bridges, roads, transport services is not development. These are enablers of development. Basic aminities or infrastructure. Development is measured by the visible improvement in the living condition of the masses. If you are building infrastructure and regretting inconvenience for decades, you are not really achieving the goal of development. Don't let Thane face another phase of "Inconvenience is regretted" @MetroRailThane #RingRailNako

🚨 EXCLUSIVE BREAKING:

How can SGNP authorities permit such massive sound setups inside a protected eco-sensitive zone? This blatant disregard for wildlife directly violates the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, Section 27/35 restricting prohibited activities in National Parks, and the Noise Pollution Rules, 2000. Stop commercializing Mumbai's green lungs—protect wildlife peace now!

SGNP's official clarification is needed.

@NishantBangera1 @MetroRailThane Mumbai monorial was pushed as a last-mile service. It's a spectacular failure. Building Thane Ring Metro on a similar hypothesis will see a similar decline.

@NishantBangera1 @MetroRailThane @PMOIndia @CMOMaharashtra @mieknathshinde Especially when Azad Nagar and Manorama Nagar stations pass through informal settlements. The residents will face displacement and they haven't been consulted!!

[Pooja @Ipoojak]

A 2023 report by IIT Delhi shows that metro travel is viable for trips over 10-15 km, whereas 75% of all daily trips in Indian cities are under 5 km. When this is the case, is heavy investment in a metro system the right option for Thane?

Amazing how a 12200 cr worth of project is being built without public consultation. No intention to hear what people think. We simply don't need this project. #RingRailNako

When maharashtra is facing severe drought, do we really require an unnecessary and builder-centric metro inside the city

@MetroRailThane what is the basis for building a circular metro for Thane when the city's mobility/traffic patterns reflect a different reality? The DPR fails to provide any empirical evidence for it.

3,000+ trees have been marked for cutting or transplanting, for the Thane ring metro project. All this at a time when Thane City increasingly faces heat stress!! TMC's Heat Action Plan 2024 acknowledges the risk.

Thane ring metro will be ready by 2029 they say. Metro 4 was also supposed to be ready by 2021. Just saying @MetroRailThane
