A little about antibiotic a thread

🚨 A LOT OF PEOPLE STILL DON’T KNOW THIS ABOUT ANTIBIOTICS.

Yesterday, I talked about antibiotics and why you should listen to your pharmacist when using them.

Shockingly, many people still don’t know about antibiotic resistance.

Simply put: antibiotic resistance happens when bacteria learn to survive medicines designed to kill them. 🦠💊

That’s why, when appropriate, a laboratory test/culture and sensitivity test can help identify the bacteria causing an infection and determine which antibiotics are likely to work.

And please remember:

❌ Antibiotics do NOT treat viruses like the common cold or flu.
❌ Don’t use antibiotics unnecessarily.
❌ Don’t use leftover or someone else’s antibiotics.
❌ Don’t change or stop treatment without professional advice.

Antibiotics are powerful—but misuse can make them less effective when we actually need them.

Listen to your pharmacist. Use antibiotics responsibly. Protect their effectiveness. 💊🦠
