I was travelling in 3AC today,
but after a while, it started feeling like Sleeper.

The picture of train travel in India seems to be changing

AC feels like Sleeper, and Sleeper feels like General.

There was a time when an AC reservation meant comfort, less crowd and a peaceful journey.

But today, crowded coaches, people around the seats and passengers in the corridors make you wonder

Is AC now just the name of the coach and the price of the ticket ?

Then imagine the condition of Sleeper and General coaches.

India is now the world’s most populous country.

But the real question is

Is our railway infrastructure growing fast enough to handle this rising demand ?

Because if this continues,

the difference between AC, Sleeper and General may exist only on the ticket,
not in the travel experience.
