The NEW Rules of Sales
1. The prospect is not a customer.
Until they’ve paid you money…don’t bend over backwards.
2. The stricter the qualification…the easier to close.
3. High intention low attachment.
Show you care about the problem. But not more than they’re willing to solve it.
4. A “Yes” is a Yes
A “maybe” is a No.
If it’s not a “Yes” it’s a “No”
And a “No” is Fine.
5. Close the call at the beginning.
Not at the end.
6. The sales call is about them convincing you that
i. They have a problem
ii. They care about the problem
iii. They’re willing and able to delegate resources to solve the problem.
7. You show expertise by
i. Displaying core understanding of the problem
ii. Revealing why the problems exists
iii. Asking them questions they can’t answer
8. You’re not in the convincing business.
You’re in the discovery business.
You can’t convince any one of anything.
Your goal in the sales process is to get them to discover whether or not they need your help/service.
9. The right answer to any question you get asked on a sales call is simple:
“What do you mean?”

10. The post sales process is vital for client fulfillment and retention.

Faktor utama yang harus kita selesaikan jika ingin bisnis kita sukses adalah PAIN.
Apakah target market kita itu merasakan "sakit" dan "butuh banget" solusi yang kita tawarkan. Identifikasi faktor pain-nya, maka produk/jasa kita akan laku.
Setelah itu, baru perhatikan faktor "buying power", kemudian "competition" dan "is it a growing or dying market?".
