A breakdown of the "new" $4 billion in aid, much of which we already knew about.
The bulk is from authorizing NYC to delay its pension payments. Also includes the $500M from the pied-a-terre tax.
@thundergoat22@gruidae_james I think its good to publish this stuff tbh. The dismissiveness just comes across as unserious, like abolitionism's correctness is a foregone conclusion, which does it no favors as a movement imo
@violentfemz Search engines have degraded and it’s pretty good for finding specific things (eg finding a project that uses X for Y). I studied math and it’s currently being used by amateur and professional mathematicians for solving Erdös problems.
@violentfemz I know how to code. It writes complex code faster and is very useful for understanding and using codebases that in unfamiliar with. Reduces friction significantly. Google Translate is AI and has been seq2seq language model based since before ChatGPT.
@AlexChaircheck@postoctobrist I have personally watched it write and optimize complex research code in < 1hr that would have taken me a few days at least and it was correct out of the box
Ok but you are depriving the public of the specific thing you’ve stolen. Obviously you’re not depriving them of the things you’ve haven’t stolen or of Art in general, no one is saying that
The implication that if you steal something from a museum you're depriving the public is kinda silly. They have more stuff in the basement! A lack of art objects is not one of the many real threats to American museums.
