@hastifliche@HordeBanana people will still be talking about NTTN for many decades to come, due to its unexpected proximity to the Event which will be transpiring 5 years, 84 days, and 14 hours from now
sales is like an anti-religion
whereas normal religion is attractive in proportion to the amount of certainty it offers, sales is the opposite
people seek and conform to religions and religious institutions because it's comfortable, because they're offered the chance at some kind of peaceful eternal rest
sales is the total opposite
there is no light at the end of the tunnel
no promise of a better future
no certainty
no stability
the only promise is that there will be pain. pain and misery. and once you close a deal, there are only more deals to close. there is no salvation, there is no closure, there is only the sissyphean treadmill that seems to go nowhere
in sales there is no god, there is no devil, there is only now, and now you must send the docusign
One week away. Come see Perry and his partner read stories from the book and come see me explain why you could refer to Organ as a “mumblegore press” if you really wanted to
if you are a gtm engineer and you're applying for a role you really need to have a portfolio
michael and i posted that we have recently signed a ton of big clients and will soon need an additional pair of hands on keyboard to do fulfillment
i got a ton of inbound interest which is great! and if you have messaged me about this, please do not take this as malicious but rather constructive criticism because i care about my fellow claude code using spammers and want you to all win and hit the inbox
things you should have:
• a github with something i can look at, even if its vibe coded thats fine, i'm not a real "coder" im just a big token spender
• some jsons or something idk
• mermaid charts explaining CRM logic or something else
• a loom acct with some videos
• examples of copy you've written and the process behind them
and i mean there's a bunch of other stuff you could do that goes beyond that.
if you want to see an example of a good portfolio (im kind of biased) you can look at my site benyamin (.) ai, and go to the portfolio section. btw the code is messed up so some of the graphics aren't rendering properly and i havent had time to fix it, but it will at least give you an idea of what kind of stuff i personally found helpful in showcasing my skills
things i got:
• claude generated landing pages with list of things they're good at (no proof???)
• claude generated landing pages with emdashes - listen im guilty of this stuff too as i got really busy at apero some things fell by the wayside and keeping my content and presentations human suffered, i'm reversing that.
• resumes - sorry broski im not reading that nor do i care about your resume. that's just me tho i know some people do. no hate. just being real.
anyways these are all mistakes i've made in the past too so you can learn from me and have some better resources for my army of grokbots to vet - formatting content for AI is important! - i consider this when talking to folks.
One person gave me a schema of an attio instance they'd designed and i chatted with grokbot about it for a while as well as the pros/cons of the system and could tell how they were thinking about sales workflows. Interesting stuff! That's a good asset to provide for an application.
vetting talent for roles like this is really tough and i dont have all the answers, these are just my personal preferences. you have to make it super easy for us to see why we should engage you in an interview process.
anyways, if you are in LATAM, pakistan or India this is a big opp! Some parts of europe too depending on purchasing power parity. we'd love to pay someone in one of those regions a relative boatload of cash (yes for those reasons we are paying a lot, like a lot) and have them ramp up over the next few months with us while we start delivery work on some of these projects.
pic unrelated, new camera setup for the podcast/content
