MANCHESTER UNITED AND THE MASON GREENWOOD SAGA @ManUtd
I have just seen this article by the Female Fans of Manchester United about Mason Greenwood and the postponement of the announcement of his return to the team. Whilst I do not support his actions, the position of the Female Fans of my beloved team is very weak and has no legal basis.
The man was alleged to have committed an offense against a lady who has now become the mother of his child and they now live together under the same roof. Case closed!
He was never tried in a court of law or found guilty of any offence. He is being tried in a moral court with no legally tenable evidence.
Even the Crown Prosecution Service said their position was weakened in that they cannot secure a conviction. So, why are the Women Fans of Manchester United and I don’t know how many they are saying they do not want him back?.
Certainly, they do not represent the whole women supporters of Manchester United.
This is a difficult case that favours Mason Greenwood. He has an advantage. He was not tried or convicted in a court of law and he is still with the woman he was alleged to have assaulted who is now the mother of his only child.
Spare a thought also for the mother and the child. You are fighting for women but you are hurting the alleged victim and the child through your opposition to him coming back to the team. It is an unreasonable stance. Irrational in my view.
As a lawyer, I am looking at what the management of Manchester United would do in this case. Getting rid of Mason Greenwood will show they are cowards because they are not being guided by the laws of our dear country which says that a man and I add a woman is not guilty of an offence until he is convicted in a court of law.
To convict him in the moral court is an injustice and will be a severe weakness on the parts of the management of Manchester United. I do not think they will succumb to the moral backlash when the law did not say he was guilty.
I do not support violence against women but in this case, their arguments are patently weak. Mason Greenwood did not assault any of them or their children since he has been at the club. His matter was a domestic matter that they have settled domestically. I bet many of these women also had their domestic challenges but the problem is, they are hidden.
I am waiting to see how this saga will end but the management of @ManUtd should not allow themselves to be bullied. Mason Greewood deserve a second chance but must be severely warned as to his future conduct.
Dele Olawanle is my name. #masongreenwood #ManchesterUnited
🚨💰 Sheikh Jassim's bid, if successful, will purchase United via the Nine Two Foundation. His spokespeople insist he will buy the club with cash, clear all debt, and invest heavily in all areas of the club. @MailSport#MUFC ✅
