@cfc_whale this is why he has to move away from FB / WB roles and move into Midfield for the long jeverity of his career and he said himself he is fit to play 90 minutes every week I don't think he can do this at FB
✍️ The fact that we aren't getting concrete news of potential signings at this point is an indication that Xabi Alonso is truly involved as promised.
I said before he was hired that Chelsea would pause all transfer talks until a new coach is signed. The idea was to discard every list of targets and let the coach evaluate the squad and make his list together with the club.
In simple terms, the players Rosenior and the SDs were working to sign are likely not going to make the new list.
Now, this is the reason for the delay. Alonso has come in, but the process of selecting players to buy and completing the transfers will take a bit of time.
Scouting → Data/video analysis → Internal approval → Contact with player/agent → Club-to-club negotiations → Agreement on transfer fee and payment structure → Personal terms agreed → Medical examination → Contract signing → Registration with league/FA → Transfer fee paid according to agreed terms.
This process usually takes weeks-months to complete, unless you are in a rush, but there is time, as the window isn't official open.
Scouting → Data/video analysis → Internal approval → Contact with player/agent is the stage we are likely in at the moment.
Note: most early summer transfers are deals that have been in the pipeline and worked on for months approaching the summer window.
I think we have more work to do on outgoings than incomings. We are expected to sign 2-3 players. There is no rush, we have time to sign players. I expect things to start moving soon.
@cfc_whale I don't understand why Some Chelsea Fans and some Content Creators don't want Jackson back he was a work horse and people will say no to him is madness
