@mattmag1013@imjackonthecall Nobody else can make that trade worth the same value as it is to the Dodgers, because they know they can pay him whatever he wants in the offseason. I will root against a season if it means the outcome is a cap and floor, without it why should anyone outside major markets turn up
@jord4n_reed@northsiden0tch How does that compare to full price? I feel like ripping off veterans and active duty is a worse look than doing it to students, but that might just be me
It gets worse! The Pirates charge MORE for Student Tickets in some cases than the going rate without the student discount! These are the same seat for the same game, one without the student discount code and one with
Once again, a weekday day game and the Pirates are the 2nd highest "get-in" price behind only the Dodgers.
In fact, they are over 100% more expensive than eight of the 14 other games being played throughout MLB today.
Pittsburghers are being price gouged. Plain and simple.
@JoshYohe_PGH@Chadms0718 I would be inclined to agree if there would be a season in 2027, but the lockout makes it feel all the more urgent to go in now because who knows how not playing for a year will impact prospect development
@MattGajtka Would they have had to get swept for this to be a disaster? 2-4 in the most important homestand of the season before bad pitching matchups in Cincy and Milwaukee is pretty darn close in my eyes, especially losing how they did and the offense looking completely impotent
About to be a 2-4 home stand unless something dramatic happens in these two innings but I’m not holding my breath.
Way to show up when it mattered most boys
Every time I watch the pirates im astounded at how easily opposing pitchers keep their counts down, a 7 pitch inning against a terrible matchup pitcher is not what you’re looking for to try and maximize the time you’re hitting against the pen today
@Jay__Catsby Does this take into account fielder positions and/or the general approach of “Pirate-proofing” that one must take into account when talking about a bottom 5 worst franchise in American sports?
