๐จ URGENT: LETTER TEMPLATE TO ENACT PROTOCOL 21 BEFORE THE THE JUNE DEADLINE TO AVOID EU IMMIGRATION RACKETEERING & LOSS OF SOVEREIGNTY
Protocol 21 is a legal mechanism attached to the European Union's Lisbon Treaty. It is Irelandโs "opt-in" protocol for EU laws regarding policing, immigration, and justice.
Protocol 21 gives us the choice to opt in or out in EU legislation concerning the Area of Freedom, Security, and Justice. Such as asylum, immigration and border policy
Under the protocol, the default position is that we are automatically opted out of any new EU laws in these categories. However, we can "opt-in" on a case by case basis. If the Irish government opts in, it must get approval from both houses of its parliament (the Oireachtas) within three months of the proposal being introduced. Both Ireland and the UK operate under a "common law" system, whereas most of continental Europe operates under "civil law." The protocol protects certain distinct features of Irelandโs legal framework from being overwritten.
Historically, Ireland has aggressively used the protocol to opt into police and criminal cooperation measures (usually around 60% to 70% of the time), but has been much more cautious with asylum and migration laws.
Back in June 2024, the Irish Government voted to opt in to the EU Migration Pact. Because of Protocol 21, Ireland didnโt have to join, but the government chose to do so.
To make this EU pact legally binding in Ireland, the government is currently pushing through the International Protection Bill 2026, which completely replaces Ireland's old asylum laws.
People writing to their TDs demanding that the government trigger Protocol 21 to "opt out" before the June 2026 deadline. By choosing not to use our Protocol 21 opt out, our nation is giving up its sovereignty to Brussels over WHO enters the country.
Because of the "Solidarity Pool" EU countries must either accept a relocated quota of asylum seekers or pay a financial contribution (roughly โฌ20,000 per person they reject) into a central pool (sounds like racketeering) We need the government to use Protocol 21 to avoid these mandatory rules. It is incredibly unlikely this will be enacted. The Dรกil already voted to opt in, the European Commission formally accepted Irelandโs participation, and the legal framework is already being locked into Irish law via the 2026 Bill.
However it is worth putting your request on record.
Subject: Urgent: Use Protocol 21 to Opt-Out of the EU Migration Pact
Dear Deputy [TD's Last Name],
I am writing to you as a constituent in [Your constituency/area] to express serious concerns regarding the upcoming implementation of the EU Migration and Asylum Pact on June 12th, 2026.
Under Protocol 21 of the Lisbon Treaty, Ireland possesses a clear legal right to opt out of EU legislation concerning immigration and asylum. I am alarmed by the Government's decision to waive this protocol and voluntarily opt-in to the Pact via the International Protection Act 2026.
By fully implementing this Pact, Ireland is handing over sovereignty regarding borders to Brussels and locking itself into a mandatory system that forces us to either accept set quotas of asylum seekers or face severe financial penalties.
Furthermore, aligning so rigidly with EU migration frameworks risks seriously undermining our Common Travel Area agreement with the United Kingdom.
With only days remaining before the June 11th deadline, the window to act is closing. I am calling on you, as my elected representative, to oppose the implementation of these measures and to publicly demand that Ireland exercises its Protocol 21 rights to retain full, independent control over our own border and asylum policies.
I will not vote for you again should you opt in.
Yours sincerely,
[Your Name] [Your Address / Eircode]
๐ฎ๐ช ๐ฌ๐ง 5 to 10 YEARS FOR PEPPER-SPRAY "FIREARM", BUT BLADES FOR RELIGIOUS REASONS OK
A "Compare & Contrast" In Wake of Henry Nowak's Death & Police Response:
In the UK and Ireland, people are increasingly afraid. Diversity crime is exploding. Yet, self-defence sprays are illegal.
In both countries, pepper spray is strictly illegal and classified as an illegal/unlicensed firearm. It is treated with the same severity as carrying a gun, carrying maximum prison sentences of up to 10 years in the UK and up to 5 years (7 years in some circumstances) in Ireland. Yet, in Ireland, Gardaรญ use double-strength pepper spray on peaceful Irish protesters.
Conversely, in the UK and Ireland, the law allows kirpans (ceremonial blades) in public for "religious reasons". The law dictates that if the blade is used or intended to be used as a weapon, the religious defense is void. SO WHY WAS VICKRUM DIGWA ALLOWED TO CARRY ANY BLADE WHEN HE WAS CAUGHT WITH A STASH OF STOLEN BLADES IN 2023?
He had a kirpan and a 21cm tactical dagger (a Persian knife) and had previously stolen "Shastar" weapons from a local "Gurdwara".
In Ireland, the law does allow carrying a blade for "religious reasons," though the law lacks the explicit statutory language seen in the UK, leaving it to judicial discretion.
The Murder of Henry Nowak:
[NOTE: WHEN POLICE ARRIVED ON SCENE, DIGWA'S FATHER WAS SEEN HOLDING UP HENRY. THIS CAN MAKE A PERSON BLEED OUT FASTER.]
The reality of DEI biases came to light in this case. Vickrum Digwa had a 21cm tactical dagger (a Persian knife), which Digwa said was for "religious purposes".
Vickrum Digwa launched a brutal, unprovoked attack on 18-year-old university student Henry Nowak as the teenager walked home from a night out.
When law enforcement arrived at the scene, institutional incompetence and systemic bias took over. Digwa and his family conspired and weaponised their protected status as a religious community by fabricating a story, falsely claiming that Henry had racially abused Digwa and knocked off his turban.
Rather than assessing the physical reality of the scene (where a young white man, Henry, was bleeding out from five stab wounds, including one to the heart), the responding officers blindly accepted Digwaโs narrative.
Immediately accepting the false accusation of a hate crime, the police treated the dying teenager as a hostile suspect, despite Henry being prone on the ground, clearly suffering, and declaring several times (through blood-filled lungs) that he couldn't breathe and needed help. At one point he said, "Please officer." He also stated he had been stabbed. The officer replied by saying, "I don't think you have, mate."
Instead of receiving life-saving first aid, an unarmed and mortally wounded Henry was DRAGGED ACROSS THE GRAVEL, PINNED, AND AGGRESSIVELY CUFFED (FACEDOWN).
As he lay dying in agony, desperately gasping and covered in blood (the judge noted in court that Henry had blood on his clothing and slit wounds in his clothes), his pleas were entirely dismissed. Meanwhile, another officer could be heard calling an ambulance to treat a minor scratch on the killer.
Digwa's family knew their relative had stabbed Henry and stood around and implicated Henry.
Precious, irreplaceable minutes were squandered treating the actual victim like a criminal. By the time the police finally realised the gravity of Henry's internal injuries and removed the handcuffs, it was too late.
Henry Nowak died as police read him "his rights" during his arrest.
Henry is dead because of a D.E.I. police response that prioritised a fabricated narrative of a non-white Sikh over a young white male who, by all accounts, was hardworking, kind, and inclusive.
He died in agony and fear AND in a state of indignity.
Keir Starmer has said he will not be banning kirpan knife carrying. In Ireland, Gardaรญ were not allowed to wear turbans until a few years ago. Now they can and, like any Sikh, can carry a blade.
Rest In Peace Henry.

#AlexCoughlan Has Been Laid To Rest On His Birthday
In a cruel twist of fate, Alex Coughlan has been laid to rest on his 38th birthday (May 30th, 2026). This specific date was incidental, as his loved ones did not have Alex returned to them until Friday May 29th.
RTE were in attendance this morning. No other media appeared to be present. RTE's attendance felt like a box-ticking exercise: standing, arms folded, across the carpark of Stafford's funeral home in Ballyfermot, gazing at the mourners gathered, as a faded Irish flag flew on a pole nearby, tethered by a single cable tie.
They reported little on the touching aspects of what was to be a celebration of Alex's life. The omissions feel calculated and in keeping with the lack of overall coverage of Alex's death. They published a short, dispassionate article about what was an incredibly moving service. I have, at the time of writing this piece, found no other articles online about the funeral itselfโnot even a mere mention today that it was taking place.
The service for Alex was open to all, and this fact further indicates that what RTE and other media have not reported illustrates a lack of respect and a desire to conceal, as opposed to a desire to honour privacy.
In the wake of his passing, RTE (purposely?) reported inaccurate details, leading to incorrect speculation and victim-blaming (which caused further unnecessary pain for his loved ones) around the circumstances of the day Alex left his home (and did not return until yesterday, where he lay in repose).
Now, that is quite enough about the government's mouthpiece.
Today is about Alex. Mourners were asked to make May 30th Alex's day. Everyone who gathered was asked to sing "Happy Birthday." As tears are not usually seen when singing "Happy Birthday," it was a well-wish like no other, for a human being who, for many there, was like no other. The words were sung in a heartfelt manner, with the sad realisation that he should be here celebrating.
The backdrop behind the casket (with a single red rose upon it) was the Irish tricolour with lighting that subdued the green, white, and orange as it stood, standing in silent guard, as Alex made his final departure.
Pictures and clips of a smiling Alex and his family, friends, and significant life events played throughout the service. He was spoken of as the glue that held his family together. It was clear Alex was a shining and guiding light in the lives of many. The celebrant spoke of the necessity to ensure that the circumstances leading to Alex's untimely departure be prevented, so that no family ever has to suffer such a loss again.
In the final minutes, all who gathered were asked to sing "Ireland's Call" as family members carried Alex's coffin upon their shoulders past the crowd. He had been a proud Ireland rugby supporter in life.
It goes without saying, an abundance of tears fell throughout the service, but particularly during singing. Upon leaving, people were asked to have a shot of his favourite tipple in Alex's honour (Jameson and Coke) as they made their way out.
Alex was brought to Glasnevin Cemetery for a private cremation.
If you are reading this, raise a toast for Alex today, who will be forever young at 38.

๐จ DID YOU KNOW YOU NEED TO KNOW THE FOLLOWING?
DID YOU KNOW Ireland has 10 times the average number of data centres per capita compared to every other EU country except Germany? Did you know that Data centres in Ireland USE MORE electricity than ALL households combined? (Source CSO). Did you know that they are projected to use between 26% and 30% of all electricity in Ireland this year? (By comparison it is around 2% to 4% in other countries). Did you know that you pay 45% more for electricity than any other EU citizen outside of Ireland? Did you know these centres are why you are being pressured to cut your consumption and only use electricity at "non peak" times? (Tip: do not get a "smart metre", as it can be used to control your consumption forcibly in the future).
Did you know data centres are linked to causing health issues for those in close proximity to them? Did you know that, in paying for their electricity, we are essentially paying for AI to replace us? (these centres are needed to power AI technology).
Did you know the average size is 20,000 square metres? Did you know that these data centres use all our "sustainable wind energy" and that the mega turbines near people's homes are only for corporate benefit? Which they don't pay for? You've been sold the idea that sustainable energy wind turbines would LOWER electricity costs, but this has NOT been the case. It has been the opposite.
Do you know so many people have been removed from their homes to build them and the people who live near them are experiencing health issues due to noise and other factors?
Did you know the average mid-large centre uses 100 to 120 million litres of water per year also? Hyper scale campuses need 600 million litres a year and it is roughly 300,000 litres per day for mid sized campuses. This is mostly used for cooling on hot summer days...is this why the skies look as they do?).
Did you know that Ireland is on course to become one massive data centre due to the demands of ever growing AI technology and usage? Essentially for all interest and purposes AI will replace humans in many respects. Facebook (Meta) laid off several hundred employees last week. But not before using those employees to train AI to replace them. Did you know that the virus like expansion of data centres underscores a lie that is going unchallenged? The notion of climate change.
These centres use up so much non sustainable energy as well as sustainable energy. So once again...don't get that flight to Spain or drive your petrol or diesel car as you could destroy the planet. But nevermind all those data centres...
This is why YOUR bills are unaffordable. This is WHY 300,000 families and individuals are in electricity arrears. Why are we paying for huge multinationals who make billions and produce nothing?
Why is the government allowing this? (because they work for them, not us).
We are being screwed a thousand ways to Sunday and back.
It is criminal.
Alex's family and friends may read the comments. Please keep the comments about Alex and who je was for this post and this video (as per explanation I gave in post above). Please use hashtags (see post) and also complete the request in the video.
Thank you all. #AlexCoughlan #SpeakHisName #RememberAlex #RememberHim
ALEX COUGHLAN'S FAMILY asked me to share this beautiful, touching clip of him reading to his little nephew. It really conveys the type of person Alex was. If you would like to get to know who Alex was and how he lived his life, then please watch the duration of this short memorial video in his honour. Please also take part in what is asked at the end of the video, and also use these hashtags when sharing: #AlexCoughlan #RememberAlex #SpeakHisName
Let's keep his name and face in the public eye. Make sure this memorial video reaches every person in this country and beyond. Share it with everyone you know. Share it the world over.
NEVER FORGET ALEX.
Unfortunately, it may be shadowbanned, so we all need to pull together on this one.
Just to say... Alex was a truly wonderful person by all accounts. It is important to keep this post and all comments about HIM. Please. For this one post. Do this in memory of Alex. Because one cruel and final indignity that is visited upon those who have had their lives stolen is the fact that the unforgivable act can end up defining that person in the public eye by that very act itself. Who the person was can be lost amidst the tragedy. Alex was someone I would have loved to know. I wish I'd had that great privilege and I know he comes from an amazing family. They will read these comments most likely. So please be mindful of that.
Thank you.

Department Opposes Claims linking IPAS to Homelessness (But Inadvertently Admits Most People In Direct Provision Skip Those in Homeless Accommodation For Housing)
DHRE had said many who previously lived in direct provision were homeless
"The Department of Justice has argued the โlarge majorityโ of people leaving direct provision do not become homeless despite reports it is the biggest driver of homelessness among single adults in the Dublin region.
Homeless services, including the Dublin Region Homelessness Executive (DRHE), have said large numbers of people who previously lived in direct provision have presented as homeless โ including 1,758 people having left international protection accommodation in the last five years.
In a report given to a Dรกil committee last month, the DRHE said leaving direct provision in the preceding six months had been the largest driver of homelessness among single adults in 2024 and 2025, accounting for 25 per cent of all new single entrants to its services.
However, in a letter to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), the secretary general of the Department of Justice โ which runs the International Protection Accommodation Services (IPAS) โ argued โthe large majority of people who have previously resided in direct provision do not become homelessโ. The secretary general added the department has arrangements in place to support people moving into independent housing.
Amid pressure on the Stateโs system for accommodating newly arrived asylum seekers, the department has been seeking to move individuals out of direct provision who have been given leave to remain in the country.
Doncha OโSullivan, the top civil servant in the department, argued in the letter that individuals may present to homelessness services โfor a wide range of reasons which go beyond their previous residence in IPAS accommodationโ. This suggested the reasons driving the trend are more complex than simply exiting direct provision.
He pointed to the loss of rental accommodation, relationship breakdown or โother personal circumstances that arise after leaving the international protection systemโ.
There are just over 5,000 people currently living in direct provision but who have a legal status that allows them to remain in Ireland โ and are not entitled to remain in State accommodation.
While many people do move out once they get legal status โ the department said 4,000 such movements took place last year โ the number has remained stubbornly high. IPAS periodically writes to such individuals to remind them they no longer have a right to State accommodation.
OโSullivan also said most applicants for international protection who are not accommodated on arrival are โnot rough-sleepingโ, with outreach teams in place making offers of accommodation." (The Irish Times)
"I'll not take this Blood Money". Dr McConville departed the IMC inquiry to a standing ovation after delivering his submission this morning.
Dr Michael McConville delivered a detailed speech to an Irish Medical Council fitness to practise inquiry today before exiting the hearing abruptly.
โNothing in my attendance is to be taken as acceptance of this committee as lawfully constituted,โ he told the IMC assembly.
The GP, who ran a surgery in Cavan town, retired two years ago. He began his submission by outlining his GP history and retirement on January 1st 2024.
โI had no patient complaint against me in my entire career in either the United Kingdom or Ireland.โโI am here today not out of obligation, for there is no misconduct, but by my own choice to place this record in the only forum that I know, or that I have found, where it can be heard,โ he said.
