@Chaotic_Synergy It can also have the context of just someone who isn't Hispanic/Latino, but can be mostly used to refer to white people. In the 1800s, it just meant foreigner. So take it how you'd like, but it's not a bad word(in my opinion).

@Chaotic_Synergy I'm just gonna provide some clarity about the word "gringo." While it can be used as a derogatory term, it's thought to have come from the word "griego", meaning Greek in English, but it just means for a non-native speaker to speak Spanish with an accent. It's not a bad thing.
