The only thing we can do now apart from contacting TDs and Minsters is to sign the Aontú petition to stop the EU Migration pact here https://t.co/G18slXMMF4 if it's gets enough signatures it will be considered. We can still stop the pact as Aontú will be taking it to Court!
Aontú submitted a bill into the Dáil Bill's Office today that seeks to remove Ireland from the EU Migration Pact.
Sign the petition, which has nearly 20,000 signatures.

“What do you attribute that to?”: @Ben_Scallan asks Energy Minister Darragh O’Brien how he explains the fact that Ireland has the highest energy prices in the EU after over a decade of investing in renewables.

An Algerian migrant is currently on trial in Dublin for the attempted murder of three young children, a 6-year-old and two 5-year-olds.
Riad Bouchaker was angry because he was denied a welfare payment, so he tried to kill children outside a creche with a kitchen knife.
But there's currently no mention of the trial on the homepage of the biggest news app in the country, the state-run RTE news.
However, they are discussing important topics like Harry Potter, Barack Obama, and eating chocolate.
Madness.
A Muslim couple from Africa have had their convictions for FGM quashed and the case declared a miscarriage of justice.
After they brought their daughter to hospital with a genital injury in 2016 and claimed she had fallen on a toy, staff alerted gardaí and an investigation began.
In 2019 they were arrested and later convicted of FGM with both being sent to prison.
In 2021 the Court of Appeal overturned their convictions on the basis that the trial was "unfair" because of issues with translations, despite the fact they both speak French.
They were put on trial again in 2023, but this time the jury's decision was inclusive. (Islam expanded rapidly in Ireland between 2019-2023)
In 2024 the state decided to no longer pursue the case and now the entire thing has been declared a miscarriage of justice.
This will inevitably make gardaí hesitant to investigate future potential cases of FGM. By refusing to pursue the case and declaring it a miscarriage they're sending a very clear message; barbaric Islamic rituals will no longer be investigated in Ireland.
A HISTORIC MOMENT 🇪🇺
The EU votes 418 - 218 in favour of the STRICTEST MASS DEPORTATION legislation in history
Return hubs will now be located OUTSIDE the EU and home searches will be allowed by deportation teams
The age of mass deportations has begun
One of the most notable parts of this interaction to me was the RTÉ journalist apparently coaching the Tánaiste on how to answer a question. He says "Can I ask you to state the obvious, Tánaiste" and literally directly asks Harris to say that something is "disinformation".
Yes: Irish people should demand the Govt to apply for a full exemption under Article 62 of AMMR (relocation quotas) like Poland did on basis of significant migratory pressure. Poland made an application for a full exemption but Ireland has not @SeanKyneGalway@SimonHarrisTD
