@RossDellenger Taking the big brands and having them play each other to much hype is what the European Super League proposal was about. For the clubs involved, at least for a while, they'd see bigger marketing, but in sport, what makes you a big brand is going everywhere to play, and win.
@stuholden I like a 3 back formation generally, but I don't feel like CBs are one of our best depth positions. I'd rather a 2 cb formation but with 2 cdm types for defensive coverage.
But here we are, so go #USMNT this is what we ride or die with for the World Cup!
@ByPatForde Good evening Pat, love your work.
Knowing that my own favorite institution is cutting back on spending for non-football, non-basketball, non-title winning sports, is it possible that the difference in NIL spend for the top baseball schools and the next tier is basically nada?
@United_Theory@lince_Mareado@ESPNInsights@ESPNFC It doesn't really though because for one thing, the stat is based on future participation in top flights, and the transfer window this summer could change that, and for two, the aforementioned quality of some of the top flights being pretty much second tier.
@lince_Mareado@ESPNInsights@ESPNFC No I don't feel better. Thanks for asking though.
Wasn't trying to refute the original post, was trying to explain its meaninglessness. 26 MLS players and they could have made the same statement.
I fully support the squad and will be rooting for them this summer, as always.
@MenInBlazers Nothing about this image indicates legendary company for Pep.
For raw win totals, there are still people like Moyes above him.
For win% he is so clear that even SAF is a distant second.
If Pep paid you for an ad, you should say so.
@J_hunt1123@ByPatForde@NDMenSoccer Obviously that committee doesn't have a say on women's soccer, but I imagine a lot of reasons to shift the men's schedule would apply for the women's too. Pat, being an expert in sports reporting, might have some knowledge on it.
@greg2126@acallan1 I also love the talk about how much money we have because it highlights our ethics with our money pre-NIL.
It's not like we just started having money, it just became ok to use it in the NIL era. Weird how quickly we caught up to the SEC huh?
