On this feast of Candlemas, the example of Anna and Simeon reminds us of the wisdom of older people. We remember our friends at Anna Chaplaincy who do such wonderful work supporting older people emotionally and spiritually. @brfcharity @CaritasWestm https://t.co/kp9eI5FW8o

Check out our new blog which takes a look at a Celtic Mother of the Christian faith, St Brigid & how the communities we're part of, like Magherafelt, can embody the values she demonstrated faithfully in her life. Visit https://t.co/5x2vSRyJKc @midulster_DC

Hear the "Flame of Kildare" by Isabelle Ryder premiered on Sunday.

The former seismologist was commissioned by the Guild of St Bride to mark their 70th anniversary. The work is a celebratory jig for organ and two trumpets inspired by St Bride.

Delighted to share with our friends in St Bride’s today, to celebrate St Brigid who is matron saint and inspiration for us both. She was a woman who championed social justice, care for the poor and the marginalised and proper stewardship of creation. @stbrideschurch @brigid1500

Happy St Brigid's Day! Today is the 1500th anniversary of our inspirational matron saint whose likeness, symbols and example fill the church and the lives of those who worship there.
