@JeffPassan Nope. Given that you were 13 years old when the strike occured you have no idea how destructive a late in season strike was. I would have rather MLB not played at all than even start the 1993 season.
@Todd_Spence@ChaletMocha Pulp Fiction - Looks cheap now with almost amerturish cinematography but holds up. Probably ranked too high but deserves to be in the top 10.
Hoop Dreams - Critics drooled over this movie with its Rocky 1 underdog story. It’s good but should be in a documentary category.
@Todd_Spence@ChaletMocha Breaking the Waves - Never seen it…completely forgot it.
Schindler’s List - Holds up well.
Red, White & Blue were not good. All of them were boring.
Fargo - Excellent movie, holds up.
Goodfellas - Should be #1. Great movie that influenced a ton of directors.
@Todd_Spence@ChaletMocha I’ll stick with Ebert
JFK is difficult to take serious. Excellent cinematography & editing but otherwise pure fiction.
Malcolm X could have been an excellent film but not in Spike Lee’s hands.
Leaving Las Vegas….no idea how this made the list. It’s OK at best.
@llewhinkes@Todd_Spence Hoop Dreams had an underdog Rocky 1 feel that the critics drooled over. But Hoop Dreams been lost in a sea of “behind the scenes” sports documentaries. Think Hard Knocks.
