@TabithaK @politeiaevel @NBCNews Regardless, unless it’s an Alford Plea, the defendant admits guilt. Once guilt is admitted or adjudicated, “alleged” is no longer appropriate.

@TabithaK @politeiaevel @NBCNews That is true in the case of an “Alford Plea” where a person maintains their innocence but agrees a trial would likely result in a guilty verdict. In this case, the defendant, Shah, admitted guilt in her plea. The word “allegedly” should be removed. She admitted guilt.
