Please make a comment, the DEA wants to lower the opioid supply even more. Which makes it even more difficult for people like me with Sickle Cell and others with chronic pain to get access to proper pain relief.
@AutumnRain86 There's a reason why a lot of celebs have started deleting their SM or stop being active. Too many fans think it's ok to get too invasive/harass them and ruin it for everyone else to put it mildly. It's wild that you think it's ok. 3/3
@AutumnRain86 IMO, there's absolutely no reason for paparazzi to exist. Being a popular actor isn't a reason to dig into someone's past and post childhood photos. It's different if he puts it out there himself or gives consent. Too many fans get creepy. 2/
@havanesemom13 I definitely want/need more Tom Hiddleston on my feed. It got boring and super political when I didn't usually interact with those posts.
@havanesemom13 He always looks great in that blue/teal? sweater, too. I have a feeling that he knows that sweater brings out his eyes in the most wonderful way. Where did this photo come from? It's obviously not a pap job. It looks like it's from a magazine spread photoshoot.
@Memej99@Delta TSA was a whole shitshow. The officers kept asking me to stand/walk and got angry with me when I told them I couldn't. I'm also transgender, so there was a lot of transphobia in addition to the ableism. They were also refusing to speak to me directly instead of my family.
@Memej99@Delta I also had to fight for them to speak to me instead of one of my family members. They constantly assumed that my family were my caregivers, and I was unable to speak for myself and handle my own affairs. The workers got so angry when they kept telling them to speak to ME. 4/4
Here's what we mean when patients like @ravensspirit68 say there is a #PainCareCrisis nationally...
My patient recently developed severe left hip pain, and her imaging today confirmed a new area of bone metastasis in that area from recurrent breast cancer. She had leftover morphine 15-mg tablets, which she had restarted for her severe pain a few days ago. It was helpful, but she still had moderate-to-severe pain after taking morphine, as well as new problem with borderline renal function. I sent a new prescription to @Walmart Neighborhood Pharmacy #3606 for 10-mg oxycodone tablets, for her to take 1-2 tablets as often as every 4 hours for severe cancer pain (#180 for 30-day quantity). I specified her diagnoses of malignant bone pain and metastatic breast cancer in the prescription (sent electronically in accordance with Florida law).
The pharmacist refused to fill the prescription, mistakenly stating that the patient was opioid naive and that "the MME was too high" (thereby ignoring guidance provided in the 2022 @CDCInjury Opioid Guideline and @AmerMedicalAssn policy that I introduced to the AMA House of Delegates in November 2018 as the chair of the AMA Pain & Palliative Medicine Specialty Section Council). I responded with an updated prescription that included a pharmacy note about the patient's therapeutic tolerance for opioid analgesia (same instructions and quantity as the original Rx).
The @walmart pharmacist then dispensed just #90 tablets and changed my dosing instructions to every 8 hours as needed for severe cancer pain. We told the patient to accept the partial fill but to follow the original dosing instructions; we will fight the rest of the problem later, likely by using a different pharmacy - she needs relief now. Realize that a simple Google or PubMed search of my name would have revealed my authorship of this relevant article about opioid therapy for pain in an outpatient palliative care clinic: https://t.co/yhWTJ9NQg0.
When #CPPs tell you they have trouble accessing their medically appropriate opioid therapy, this is what they mean! This is what a #PainCareCrisis looks like!! ๐ก
@JamesEd53683500@CMerandi You have your facts wrong. The police chief is a citizen. The first Somali-American woman graduated and became an officer. As well as the first officer who is a permanent resident, green card holder because of a recent rule change that no longer requires naturalized citizenship.
@CMerandi What does that have to do with prayer in school? Respectfully, your comment is Islamophobic. My HS had an after-school Bible club. Students can pray in school. They just can't be mandated to pray. Mosques can play their call to prayer publicly like church bells are rung publicly
Some people really see Loki when he first appeared in Avengers, his sweaty and clammy skin, pale as snow demeanor, dark circles under his eyes and STILL say he was in complete control of his actions, that he wasn't tortured or mind controlled
@Giantsareass@MISINFOSCIENCE@AGoldmund If I was homeless and had been sexually assaulted or raped in a shelter in the past, I'd refuse to go and stay on the street, too. I personally have heard some horror stories about how horrible shelter environments are. Most shelters aren't safe spaces.
@Giantsareass@MISINFOSCIENCE@AGoldmund You don't know their past experiences/history with shelters. Shelters are often dangerous, and there's been more than a few instances where a staff member is a registered sex offender using their position to prey on vulnerable women. SA from other residents is also very common.
