@p6rk6r Essentially, people are only looking at Olivia’s identity as an evil rich girl without acknowledging the fucked up social system she was born into.
@p6rk6r From my perspective, I think that apathy towards Olivia stems from people only viewing the show from primarily a “rich vs poor” standpoint. Her treatment of Gwen could be seen as insanely spoiled and privileged, even though Orville is at fault for that.
ok awesom question guess what it is its Whats your favourite GREEN transformer mine is Probably prbably hoist... thinks. I also have become very attached to hound which is jess' fault
i am seeing something but i feel like i might be reaching a little...
but i think there's multiple olivias too,
the kid, the teenager, the middle aged olivia, and the bedridden old olivia, but i might be wrong and she was just significantly older than andi and frankie.
@uzibian Yeah and the visual symbolism amplifies it so much. This shot is why I interpret their dynamic as a “daughter who just wanted the perfect mother”
… for years until the abuse started catching up with her. And I think Gwen finally recognized her treatment as abuse the moment Orville abused her. That is why we see her act so suicidal around the both of them.
I think Gwen’s programming makes her think that Olivia is still hurting from the loss of her mother and is programmed to guide her through that. That’s why Gwen still viewed Andi and Frankie as kids in need of help when reactivated, she has viewed Olivia like that (1/2)
@p6rk6r I like to think Olivia is surrounded ny friends who are just daughters of parents Orville is friends with. And worse of all, they’re just friends that like her cuz she’s the popular one and Olivia always sees through that.
