I saw this kind of engine rotating platform at Murtizapur in Akola district. It has been in use for the Shakuntala Passenger since the British era. Even today, the Shakuntala Passenger runs from Yavatmal to Achalpur via Murtizapur. I had done a nice documentary feature on this heritage Shakuntala Express for IBN-Lokmat in 2010. 🚂
