We all saw that UI and understandably panicked but they aren't adding limited-time things that you have to complete a battle pass to get!! they're trying to add LESS fomo, not more

About the "FFXIV battle pass" thing if you missed the stream:
They were visualizing progression for weekly quests replacing dailies. They made fun of seasonal battle passes and they're just trying to make it easier to obtain rewards that were already in the game

They want to give you more options to obtain gear and make it easier to get the daily rewards without having to grind content you normally wouldn't play or missing out if you're too busy to play every day. You can also get tomestones you missed out on the previous week
