IN UKRAINE 🇺🇦 a shootout occurred between 2 law enforcement agencies.

Officers from the Security Bureau of Ukraine (SBU) opened fire against officers from Ukraine's military intelligence agency (GUR). At least 10 officers are receiving treatment for bullet wounds.

The conflict is related to SBU arresting Stepan Kaplunov, deputy commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK) - a paramilitary special forces unit in GUR consisting of russians fighting for #Ukraine 🇺🇦

The commander of GUR SOF unit “Timur” and the commander of SBU “Alpha” Unit allegedly met and “solved the misunderstanding in relation to the arrest of Kaplunov and agreed on future cooperation.

The next morning, SBU officers started arresting unarmed members of GUR. When the GUR officers started resisting, #SBU opened fire - also against unarmed members of #GUR who had “their hands up”.

What is going on here⁉️

He entered russian captivity weighing 80 kg.

He came out weighing 40.

But he survived.

So he could call his mother and say four words she had been waiting 1,037 days to hear:

“Mom, I’m in Ukraine.”

His name is Ivan Petrovskyi.

In May 2022, Ivan was defending Mariupol with Ukraine’s National Guard, serving in the 12th Brigade named after Dmytro Vyshnevetskyi.

Then he was captured.

Olenivka. Then a prison in russia’s Volgograd region.

His family had no idea whether he would survive. They learned about him through the stories of fellow soldiers who were released before him.

Captivity took 40 kilograms from his body.

Hunger. Torture. Exhaustion.

He entered captivity weighing 80 kg. He came out weighing half that.

But they did not break him.

On March 19, 2025, Ivan finally returned to Ukraine — two days after his 30th birthday.

His mother, Raisa, knew nothing about the exchange. A cousin called her. She saw Ivan’s name on the list but still couldn’t believe it.

Then, an hour later, her phone rang.

“Mom, I’m in Ukraine.”

She had prayed for him every single day.

At home, his parents, wife, son and daughter were waiting.

They waited 1,037 days.

And today, thousands of Ukrainian families are still waiting for their loved ones to come home from russian captivity.

We will keep waiting.

We will keep fighting for them.

No Ukrainian hero should be left behind.
