@ronhenzel@DineshDSouza @theoloGUI Who is the author of evil Ron? Who authors more of what goes on in the world than God? Who authors most of what God determined since he determined all but never authored all? I have asked over 100 calvinists over the years and only 2 have attempted to answer. why?
@ronhenzel@Soteriology101 Who is the author of evil Ron? Who authors more of what goes on in the world than God? Who authors much of what God determines since God determines all but doesnt author all?
@MikeRiccardi_ Yet Calvins commentary on John 6 and Ephesians 2 states the opposite. Unfortunately the reformation in trying to push back against works based salvation destroyed the reading of what faith is and in turn mock the words of Christ regarding faith.
@Brother54799903@ronhenzel@DineshDSouza@RScottClark Add to that all the times he hated, detested, loathed, was angry, grieved, and was sorrowful over what what you believe He determined for His glory and good pleasure.
@Brother54799903@ronhenzel@DineshDSouza@RScottClark There are signficant issues when you say Gods rebukes, exhortations, warnings and if.then statements are at best disengenous as are the times God said He did not determine it and it is not of God.
@Brother54799903@ronhenzel@DineshDSouza@RScottClark There is no such thing as compatibilism. There is NOTHING that hard determinist would say God fully determined that a compatibilist would not say He did. They just put a layer of illusion of freedom and illusion of choice over it all to make it more palatable.
@pastorscottc No I never. I said non-Calvinists DO NOT have an issue with God NOT determining. Read my post again. The question remains what your deferral to secondary causes does when God determined ALL THAT COMES TO PASS> Are the secondary causes part of the all?
@pastorscottc I hope you do see the inconsistency in your post when you just affirmed yesterday that you believe God decreed all sin and evil for His glory and purposes. Here we have you showing disgust and hate for what you believe God determined for His glory @jaysonyork@Soteriology101
@pastorscottc The secondary causes you speak of are part of the ALL that god determined to come to pass. The question is what does the deferral to secondary causes do when God determined them?
@OzMarquezz Would you agree that most modern day theologians who hold to Calvinism and go outside of this? Do you believe Calvin as well went outside of this here:
@Brother54799903@ronhenzel@DineshDSouza@RScottClark God knows because he is outside of time. He sees the past, present and future all at once. When you say God CANNOT know something unless he determined it you actually eliminate omniscience as a characteristic of God.
@HwsEleutheroi Sorry Dr. White, what do you disagree with from his post? is it that as you have said before God decrees evil or else it has no purpose; or
Is it that you do not believe God determined ALL things that come to pass and man cannot do other than God determined?
@DineshDSouza
@ronhenzel@DineshDSouza@RScottClark Yes....and....so he knows all things and he is all powerful......
Can an all knowing and all powerful God create beings in His image with the ability to freely think, desire and act within the parameters he sets whereby he does not determine everything they think, desire and do?
@ronhenzel@DineshDSouza@RScottClark Ok. Do you agree with the definition of permission I provided? If not, Please do provide your definition of permission then.
@ronhenzel@DineshDSouza@RScottClark what you have done is again redefine permission. Permission by definition is to give an opportunity. NOTHING irresistible about it.
Again it is just playing with words for the sake of emotion to try to distance God from the positive and full determination of ALL things.
@ronhenzel@DineshDSouza@RScottClark Could Adam and Eve have done other and was it God's determination that brought this about and it could not be other?
