@HeyItsRedYT Because a mini disc player is a very specific piece of tech that was around for a very short space of time, was ridiculously expensive and then became obsolete, along with mini discs themselves. Are you confusing them with CD's?

@HeyItsRedYT I'm not sure what you think I've got "blatantly wrong" here? Also, the term Walkman covers a number of different personal stereo devices; that's a mini disc player. As you correctly pointed out, it says it on the side 😊
