@dsmerdon Of the 22 players since the Grand Swiss started in 2019 that scored 7.5+ points, 20 had 6w/5b. Keymer had 5w/6b. Could easily argue that should be the first TB.

Cumulative score would also have had Blübaum win, so I'm ok with it, but avg oppo rating is just a terrible metric

My main feedback would be unrelated: that three spots for the World Cup is ludicrous; very obviously so, and should've been changed after the catastrophe last time

@EmilSutovsky @Elinerdon Cumulative Score on avg performs best in rewarding the player with the actual toughest tournament run IMO; and most efficiently counteracts "swiss gambits"

Avg rating is a lot of rng, punishes you for facing overperformers (Woodward!), and kills you if you're 2850 (magnus issue)

@anishgiri On lichess, for a long time only games that took longer than five moves were added to the DB, which made it look like everyone who got a Fool's or Scholar's mate on the board then proceeded to play a wrong move rather than mate
