I actually have a funny story about “Alaska being a part of Russia.” When I was on exchange in Argentina, I had a host brother (10 years old) ask me if I spoke Russian (assuming that I was from there). He even taught himself a few words so that he could speak to me.

I am a member of the Doyon Corporation (an Alaska native corporation) where I receive dividends from my shares in that company. You only get these shares if you are at least 1/4 native by blood.
