Frank's reaction absolutely broke me.

In that moment, he truly believes he's killed one of the few genuinely good people he's ever met. Peter was everything Frank wishes his own children could have grown up to be a young man who only wanted to do good, someone whose soul hadn't been consumed by violence like his own.

That's what makes Frank and Spider-Man so different for each other

Frank has always seen Matt Murdock as a hypocrite. Not because Matt isn't strong enough to kill, but because he's constantly tempted to cross that line while still claiming the moral high ground. Frank believes they're not so different deep down.

But Peter...

Peter is always different.

He doesn't fight because of hatred not get controlled by anger

Before every blow, Peter chooses to save. He chooses hope over revenge.

That's why Frank respects #SpiderMan.

He sees a true hero. A kid who believes even broken people deserve another chance.

Then comes the heartbreaking moment...

Frank pulls the trigger, aiming at someone else, but Peter steps in and takes the bullet.

In that instant, Frank realizes he may have just killed the only person willing to sacrifice his own life to save someone he still believed could be redeemed.
