Cervical cancer kills about 8,000 women in Nigeria every year, even though it is a disease that the HPV vaccine can prevent.
Nkechi said she’s covered by the blood of Jesus so she doesn’t need any vaccine. But Nkechi has forgotten that God gave us doctors too. Faith and medicine are not enemies, they are teammates.
If prevention exists and you can access it, using it is not a lack of faith. It’s wisdom. Get the HPV vaccine and tell a woman you love to get it too. Retweet, so more people see this. Have you gotten the HPV vaccine? If not, what is stopping you? And when are you planning to get it?
Francis Cardinal Arinze: A Living Witness of Faith and Renewal
I joyfully felicitate with His Eminence, Francis Cardinal Arinze, the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, and indeed the Universal Church, as he marks his 60th Episcopal Anniversary.
Consecrated on 29 August 1965 at the youthful age of 32, Cardinal Arinze entered history as the youngest Catholic bishop in the world, just in time to attend the final session of the historic Second Vatican Council in Rome (1962–1965). Two years later, at only 34, he was elevated to the rank of Archbishop, becoming the youngest prelate and the first African to head the Archdiocese of Onitsha, one of Nigeria’s two oldest Catholic Sees.
In 1985, he was created a Cardinal by Pope John Paul II, a recognition that crowned his decades of faithful service. His years at the Vatican—as Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, and in other key dicasteries—have left indelible footprints in the history of the Church.
As one of the remaining Council Fathers of Vatican II, he stands as a living witness to the Church’s renewal in the modern world. His voice of wisdom and maturity continues to illuminate the path of the Church, while his exemplary life remains an inspiration to younger generations.
We remain immensely proud of him and grateful for his enduring life of service, discipline, and faith. May his life continue to be like the tree planted beside flowing waters—still full of sap, still green. Amen.

Uchechi graduated with a second-class upper in Economics.
She was the first from her village to finish university.
Her family sold goats to pay her final year fees.
They thought the struggle was over.
She applied for over 60 jobs.
All she got was silence.
No “we regret.” No callback. Nothing.
The only people hiring wanted her to “dress attractively” for male clients.
She refused.
One day, she borrowed a tray and started hawking groundnuts on the roadside.
But she did something different.
She wore her NYSC khaki the first day.
The second day, she wore her convocation gown.
People stared.
Some laughed.
One man took a picture.
“Graduate selling groundnuts in cap and gown,” the caption read.
They thought she was mad.
She wasn’t.
She was protesting—with her tray.
Uchechi didn’t need pity. She needed opportunity.
But in a country where the chairman of the local government only has an SSCE,
and the graduate is on the street…
You begin to understand why people shout: “SCHOOL NA SCAM!”
But let’s be clear:
School isn’t the scam.
A nation that punishes brilliance and promotes mediocrity is.
Until competence matters more than connections, this story will keep repeating itself—with different gowns.
Who knows @DeleFarotimi released a book that exposed the criminality in our justice system? Thank God for Afe Babalola and Tony Elumelu for the free publicity.
Uncle dele just bring back the relevant of books as a weapon against crooks. Let's utilize the weapon...buy and share!
Good evening @KingsCollegeLon

Workers' Day is an important opportunity to celebrate the contributions of workers to society and to recommit ourselves to the ongoing struggle for workers' rights and social justice. Happy workers day from all of us @ Raberto schools.
@PeterObiUSA Well done to the host and all in this space.
I believe we all snapped the FORM EC(8) at our polling units. Let everybody check the iRev portal and compare with what they have. This will serve as evidence when we got the courts.
@WazobiaFMAbuja@bigmoNaija@McBluetoothCCFR MC Bluetooth, good morning
Social media already has it's own instruments to regulate itself. ARCON should focus on their core mandate and work to prevent bitter political adverts
