Most stories don’t begin with a scream but with something that doesn't belong. A muddy footprint on a clean floor. Or a knife resting on an otherwise peaceful desk. That’s my kind of story.
Stop by Saturday. Corner of 8th and N Lake in Lakeside. 12pm-6pm. See you there!
The first Isaac Hunter Books Headquarters pop-up is officially scheduled!
July 18, 12pm - 6pm.
Signed books, used books, and a free ebook for every visitor. Also, win a free, signed, hardcover of In the Meadow!
Corner of 8th and N Lake in Lakeside, Oregon.

Books that have stayed with me long after I turned the final page. These are stories that shaped the way I think about storytelling and influenced my own writing. Every title has a five-star rating. If you’ve enjoyed my novels, go here next.
4th of July at Isaac Hunter Books. We had family over for the evening. Great dinner outside with the kids playing with fireworks. The show was great, though we all thought being on the boat was a much better experience.
This month’s Echoes question is simple: Why do some stories stay with us?
Some books quietly disappear after we finish them. Others remain with us for years.
Lightning by Dean Koontz is one of those books. What book is your favorite?
What book has stayed with you the longest? Not your favorite. The one that you still think about years later.
This month’s blog explores how books like Lightning shaped the way I tell stories.

You step beneath the trees, and the world grows quiet.
The air feels heavier, shadows deeper.
You tell yourself it’s just your imagination.
But part of you wonders…
What if it isn’t?

We’ve reached the end of this month’s Echoes Book Club selection.
One of my favorite parts of reading is discovering that we each have a different experience. If you finished In the Meadow:
What stayed with you after the final page?

One of the questions I’m asked most often is, “What’s the best way to support an independent author?”
The answer: honest reviews.
If you’ve read one or more of my books, would you consider leaving a review?
