@stlpublicradio A crazy idea should be to make the schools worth sending children to and to cut the over bloated administrative staff. Not to mention the plague of nepotistic hiring practices.
@libsoftiktok@Starbucks@FOX2now This Starbucks is near SLU's campus on Grand the other one on Grand near Tower Grove Park which is where the woman was murdered during a robbery waiting in the drive-thru last year. Thankfully we have a good Prosecutor's Office now and all were arrested and charged.
@PuckPickz If they can't read at grade level they are deemed non-cuppleble and repeatedly set free. We have space to hold the juvenile too. If one facility is full which it never is they can be sent anywhere in the state. At one point the majority released were dead within weeks of release
@stltoday The plan is to give loads of money to non-profits who then are run by the family and friends of Alderman with absurdly high salaries; so by the end less than 10% of the funds go to the program.
@AugieNash I remember I was 7 years old that year and going to Cardinal Games and seeing Mark Mcguire hitting home runs was awesome. The old Busch Stadium was impressive too. You could empty that place out in no time.
On May 6, 2026, the #SLMPD will host a Fast Track Testing Day Blitz — a hiring event to address the department’s critical need of officers.
The day will consist of a fitness and aptitude tests with an oral interview -- a process that usually takes months.

I’ve filed an amendment to stop over $5 billion in taxpayer-funded welfare for refugees hidden in the minibus bill. If it fails, your money funds cash benefits, healthcare, daycare, and job programs. The amendment is germane and can pass by a simple majority—if Republicans stay unified, it passes without a single Democratic vote.
In the grip of single-digit temperatures, a dog wandered onto the ice and suddenly found itself in a life-threatening situation. The ice gave way, leaving the dog trapped in frigid water, unable to swim to safety as the cold quickly took its toll.
Within moments, our Marine #Rescue Task Force received the call and went to work. Crews launched, navigated the frozen conditions, and reached the dog just in time, carefully pulling it from the icy water and bringing it to safety.
We’re happy to report the dog is doing well and is expected to make a full recovery. 🐾
This video shows the rescue boat arriving and the moment the dog is pulled from the frozen waters. The photos that follow show a much better sight, a survivor, safe and recovering. #YourFireDepartment #STLCity
@gecffmn Here in Missouri we have "Stealing Offense 4th" if you have three convictions for stealing related offense in the past 10 years automatically a felony no matter if it is a candy bar or a catalytic converter.
@vvJoshvv@GovMikeKehoe@SenEricSchmitt@FBIDirectorKash Bailey won a 24 billion lawsuit so the State of Missouri should be taking ownership of almost all Chinese owned land nation wide and significant amounts of property. Unfortunately this could take years. https://t.co/ynBKTjPm7A
