Crazy to me that places like @microcenter don’t include nurses in the First Responder benefits. I love that EMTs, police and firefighters get benefits. I guess I just don’t see what those people do that is admirable that nurses don’t? Makes no sense.

@StephenEStahl One of the founding principles of our country was representation, and yet government is mostly older white men “representing” an extremely diverse nation. I agree with the sentiment that decisions involving black women should include black women, etc.

@StephenEStahl While I’m not a moral relitavist, one issue with our political system is that there is not good representation of the general public. Even if this is a good decision, it should be made by a group that truly represents the people it says it represents.

The salary line item should not be a discretionary fund to cover contingencies to the detriment of officers and public

@StephenEStahl @AdamKinzinger Yeah I totally agree. I think allowing issues of morality, ethics, etc to become issues of politics has hurt the church and our nation as a whole. Politicians are very clever in how they divide us by telling people that something is an issue of politics.

@AdamKinzinger @StephenEStahl I think that is a similar experience to most Christians that leave a church, or even leave THE church. At least the ones I know. It’s more about the moral issues that the Bible is clear about and sadly those issues have become politicized.

@AdamKinzinger @StephenEStahl I totally disagree that most people will leave a church over politics. I have seen people, and have left a church, because the church lacked a moral spine on issues like race, didn’t truly love or care about the LGBTQ community, was legalistic and catered to the right.
