"Polling conducted by YouGov for The Economist shows that 71% of Americans believe Social-Security spending should be increased, more than for any other category of government spending. In the same poll, 45% say it should be increased a lot. The proportion who wish it to be reduced is just 5%, slightly less than the share of Americans who believe that covid-19 vaccinations were used to microchip the population." https://t.co/rKlX3bQAnP
This is something I have never seen before on satellite.
Clouds perfectly outlining roads.
Just incredibly neat imagery of Houston, Texas this morning.
Massive shoutout to @Emokwx who discovered it.
@NWSNewYorkNY I thought this was cool. Little backdoor cold front just passed by, dropping temps by several degrees. I saw this thin rope cloud moving east just under cumuli moving west, showing how shallow this front is
@ReviewsPossum NYC had an early season heatwave as well. Temperatures rose into the low-mid 90s pushing daily records. And it was actually humid, unlike the fake humidity of London.
@ericfisher Yes, but that was a calm storm. This would have crashing temperatures and driving winds. A quick blizzard with brutal cold air as it pushes through.
Not sure the last time we made one of these in late May
Yes, wet flakes will be possible to be seen in Massachusetts Saturday. Though the real show will be in the Presidentials of NH
In case you are wondering this translates to 69F with a dew point of 58F. 🤣
This would be considered a beautiful summer night in the eastern half of the USA.
