A very frustrated teacher just stopped me to explain she can’t get to work because police won’t let her through to her school. Good reminder that not everybody is down here to party today.
NYPD already acting out and arrests a student for trying to go to school via the Knicks parade route.
But allow small children to pass by after arresting this one student for simply doing the same thing.

In recent years, Schneps Media has built the biggest local-news empire in the NYC metro area. But it's paying its journalists so poorly they say they can barely afford grocerices.
This morning, journalists across Schneps publications announced they're unionizing.
Yes! @BrooklynPaper reporters are out in the field every single day telling our borough’s story, they deserve the stability and dignity that only unionization can deliver. ✊🏾✊🏾
We smashed our original signature goal of 200, and now we've increased it to 1,000! Sign our petition to support our union efforts! #SchnepsUnion

"I am proud to stand in solidarity with the unionized Schneps reporters as they organize for a livable wage, affordable health care, and the dignity every worker deserves." Thank you for standing with us @NYCMayor
Congrats on this newly formed @CWAUnion! Our local journalists deserve affordable & accessible healthcare & a living wage. Our community knows them at the most local level & their thorough work helps connect our neighborhoods with the knowledge and care that Queens deserves.
Schneps reporters do crucial work covering our neighborhoods and holding power to account.
Many of the journalists who document the challenges New Yorkers face are struggling to afford life here themselves.
I am proud to stand in solidarity with the unionized Schneps reporters as they organize for a livable wage, affordable health care, and the dignity every worker deserves.
I get daily job alerts from LinkedIn and I don’t think I’ve ever seen this so explicitly. @politico not hiring specifically but listed a job “to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for future openings.” Given the crap job market, is this cruel?
Due to federal budget cuts, PBS News had to make the difficult decision to rework our staffing and programming.
This Sunday, our PBS News Weekend team will sign off the air.
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani responds to Secretary Noem: "If that is 'following his training,' then I think there are larger questions about the training that's being provided to ICE agents."
Jacob Frey after ICE murdered a woman in Minnesota today: “I have a message for ICE — get the fuck out of Minneapolis. We do not want you here. People are being hurt. Families are being ripped apart. And now somebody is dead. That’s on you. It’s also on you to leave.”

Doctor on scene: I'm a physician.
Ice agent: I DON'T CARE
They shot her three times in the face and head and then denied her medical care and it's all ON CAMERA.
"A doctor at the scene attempted to help the woman who was shot, but was kept away by federal agents. When an ambulance finally arrived, it was blocked from reaching her by law-enforcement vehicles, and paramedics had to reach her on foot." https://t.co/aWDPslnLkS
This morning, an ICE agent murdered a woman in Minneapolis—only the latest horror in a year full of cruelty.
As ICE attacks our neighbors across America, it is an attack on us all. New York stands with immigrants today, and every day that follows.
Renee Nicole Good, the woman shot & killed by an ICE agent, had a young son whose father died in 2023, according to the Star Tribune
“There’s nobody else in his life,” the boy’s grandfather said. “I’ll drive. I’ll fly. To come get my grandchild.” https://t.co/KNy7fbMIFW
