Nope.

VAT is off electricity. Just over £40 a year. BUT energy price cap is going up - an extra £60 a year.

In January, energy price cap goes up 24%.

Australian chess champion Heather Richards boycotted Israel at the 46th chess Olympiad this week ✊🏻 🇵🇸 She said:

"I am not playing. I am participating in the sporting boycott of Israel. Russia is currently banned from competing in the chess olympiad due to the invasion of Ukraine. Israel should be banned from the chess olympiad.

I am doing this because Israel is committing a genocide.

The chess olympiad is one of the biggest sporting events in the world, with over 200 countries competing this year. Letting Israel participate in major sports events allows them to engage in sportswashing of their reputation and to project an image of normality to the world while they commit genocide and apartheid.

Over 70,000 Palestinians have been killed since October 7 2023, over 21,500 of which are children. There have been almost 1,400 fatalities since the “ceasefire”. At least 21,000 children have been disabled. Israel’s own internal documents state that the civilian deaths are about 83% of all deaths.

In 2025, the United Nations Independent Commission of Inquiry on Occupied Palestinian Territory found that Israel had committed genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. In 2026, they also found that Israeli authorities and security forces have deliberately targeted Palestinian children as part of their genocidal and atrocity crimes in both Gaza and the West Bank.

The International Court of Justice has issued arrest warrants for war crimes and crimes against humanity for Netanyahu and other Israeli ministers. Israel should be banned from all sporting events just like apartheid South Africa was.

I oppose genocide. I oppose the Israeli apartheid which denies Palestinians basic rights and dignity. I oppose the illegal occupations of the Palestinian territories as per the ruling of the International Court of Justice.

Gaza is nearly the same size as Nagasaki, and Israel dropped 223,000+ tonnes of explosives, equivalent of ~12 "Fat Man" ATOMIC BOMBS, on Gaza.

Gaza is nearly 3 times smaller than Berlin, and Israel dropped over 3 times more explosives than dropped on Berlin, over 25 times than what dropped on Hamburg, and almost 57 times what dropped on Dresden.

Gaza is nearly 5 times smaller than London, and Israel dropped over 12 times more explosives than dropped on London, almost 20 times than what dropped on Paris, and nearly 45 times than what dropped on Warsaw.

The destructions of Gaza cities is more severe than the destructions of European Cities in WWII.

According to Article II of the UN Genocide Convention, genocide involves specific acts committed with the "intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group."

Wanton devastation not justified by military necessity; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction is also an act of genocide according to Article Il of the UN Genocide Convention.

Andy Burnham's wife has quit her job to follow him around in what's being called an "unofficial First Lady" role, despite Britain having no such position and nobody having voted for her to hold one.

If that means she's now travelling the country and the world alongside the Prime Minister at public expense, that's a permanent paid holiday funded by taxpayers who never agreed to give her a job in the first place. She isn't in government and holds no public role whatsoever.

More information emerging about the conviction of Del Somerville (jailed for two years for throwing a plastic bottle and telling police officers to 'F**k off' at a protest against the small boats).

The court heard that Somerville had played a relatively minor role at the incident, had tried to pull another protester away when he confronted police, actually lived at the marina rather than travelled there for the purpose of protesting, and that the plastic bottle he threw was 'small' or 'empty'.

It's impossible, in the context of wider sentencing policy in this country, to avoid the conclusion that the sanction handed down to Somerville amounts to two-tier justice.
