Conversion is not merely stepping from one path to another while still facing the same direction. It is a turning of the whole man. It is going the contrary way to a contrary place.

When God converts a sinner, the heart is changed. Sin is no longer cherished as before. Holiness becomes desirable. The things of God become your recreation, your business, and your chief delight. What once seemed burdensome becomes precious.

I really wanted to believe the group defending Karmelo was a limited fringe of radicals. But the show of mainstream support and utter delusion from many black politicians, celebrities & activists quickly dashed that hope. It’s one thing when we’re talking about a black person who was killed - you can at least understand sympathy for George Floyd or Michael Brown, even if the facts are disputed. But we are talking about an undisputed murderer. To defend him, one has to be so far outside of reality and the realm of moral truth that they can no longer tell up from down. It’s so extremely dangerous for people who think this way to have any say whatsoever in matters of law and justice.

I also think what we’re seeing with the British and American public are people who have been incredibly generous for many decades. They HAVE welcomed many many foreigners.

And if you look at Ilhan Omar, you see how that generosity is so often repaid. With ingratitude, entitlement, and smears about systemically racist systems even as they leap to the front of the line in social programs and college admittance over native populations that happen to have white skin.

So no, they don’t want to welcome more foreigners in. People tend to feel less generous when their generosity is unappreciated.

You’ve heard it said that morality cannot be legislated, but in reality, all legislation is based on moral judgments.

As Texans, two critical issues must be addressed to protect the moral character of our state: first, the threat of Sharia, as we cannot allow a parallel legal system with conflicting morals to undermine Texas law; and second, the total abolition of abortion, since we cannot claim full moral integrity while dehumanizing the unborn and denying them equal protection under the law.

I call on all delegates to ensure these two issues are included in the Republican Party of Texas’ final list of legislative priorities.

A jury convicted Karmelo Anthony of murder for stabbing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf to death. Evidence was presented. Witnesses testified. Self-defense was rejected. He got 35 years.
That’s not a “legal lynching.” That’s justice.

Crying racism because the killer is Black and the victim was White doesn’t change the facts: actions have consequences.
Austin is dead. His family grieves. The system worked.

Stop excusing violence.
