Yesterday, I talked about how Shell uses the CAR framework during interviews.
And mentioned how STAR works.
But what if I told you that the real OGs don’t even use STAR?
They use STAR-R.
This thread is about that second, all-important, R. 🧵
If your goal is to get an international remote job in 2026,
Copy and edit this EXACT resume template:
HEADER AND CONTACT INFORMATION
→ Use your full legal name as the largest text on the page.
→ List a professional email address containing your first and last name.
→ Include your city and state rather than a full street address.
→ Provide a clickable link to your LinkedIn profile or professional portfolio (if relevant)
→ Ensure your phone number is accurate and includes the country code.
PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
→ Write a three-line elevator pitch summarizing your years of experience and top achievements.
→ Focus on how your background solves the specific problems mentioned in the job post.
→ Avoid using first person pronouns like "I," "me," or "my."
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
→ Use reverse-chronological order, starting with your most recent role.
→ Include the company name, your official job title, and the dates of employment.
→ Start every bullet point with a powerful action verb like "Generated" or "Managed."
→ Focus on accomplishments and results rather than a list of daily tasks.
→ Quantify every achievement possible with percentages, dollar amounts, or time saved.
→ Limit each job to four or five high-impact bullet points.
CORE COMPETENCIES / SKILLS
→ Group your skills into categories like "Technical," "Software," and "Languages."
→ Use exact keywords found in the job description to pass through ATS filters.
→ List only the skills you can actually demonstrate in an interview.
EDUCATION
→ List your most advanced degree first followed by the university name.
→ Remove your graduation year if you graduated more than 15 years ago to prevent age bias.
→ Omit your CGPA unless you are a recent graduate with a score above 3.5 (Second Class Upper)
→Remove your high school information entirely once you have completed your university degree.
FORMATTING & FINAL POLISH
→ Keep the entire document to exactly one page if you have under 10 years of experience.
→ Use a standard 10 to 12-point font like Arial, Georgia or Calibri.
→ Set all page margins to one inch on all sides.
→ Use a single-column layout to ensure the document is readable by scanning software.
→ Save and send the final document as a PDF to preserve your formatting.
→ Proofread multiple times to eliminate every single spelling or grammar error.
Hope this helps.

There’s a reason why my mentees land most of the jobs they apply for.
I learnt a trick after I read about the Zeigarnik Effect, and it has remained 100% effective till date.
I’ll explain it briefly in this post, and you can be sure to succeed if you follow it religiously.
Every Sunday, I ensure that my mentees close 5 open loops.
They don’t start new applications. They don’t scroll job boards for hours. They FINISH what is already pending.
From my experience, I’ve noticed that the weeks people feel the most anxious are the weeks they have too many unfinished tasks sitting in the background.
It could be half-written applications, a CV they need to fix, a recruiter they haven’t replied to, or a role they meant to apply for but kept postponing.
The Zeigarnik Effect simply means that your brain holds onto unfinished tasks more than completed ones, as unfinished work creates mental tension, and that tension shows up as stress.
So on Sundays, we deliberately remove that tension.
They send the application they started. They reply to the recruiter. They fix one weak CV bullet properly. They follow up on an old submission. They update something small but important on their profile.
Then, by Sunday night, five things are no longer hanging over them.
And every time this is done consistently, Monday feels lighter because don’t start the week feeling behind, they start it feeling clear instead.
Remote job searching is already mentally demanding.
Hence, closing loops reduces the noise.
And less noise = better focus, better interviews & better follow through, which = higher success rates & more opportunities.
It’s really that simple.
Happy Sunday to you all.
Do with this information what you wish.
I promised I’d give this out for FREE.
So… here goes nothing.
If you want to NEVER run out of viral content,
Copy + Paste these EXACT strategies:
1. Stop asking “What should I tweet?”
That question already killed your reach.
Instead, ask: • What did I learn today? • What confused me before but makes sense now? • What do beginners keep getting wrong?
Viral content = clarity, not necessarily creativity.
2. Your old thoughts are new to someone else
That idea you think is “obvious”? Someone is hearing it for the first time.
Repeat yourself. Reframe yourself. Repackage yourself.
The algorithm rewards consistency, not novelty.
3. Your comments are content goldmines
If you’re explaining things in replies, you’re doing free research.
Hence, any comment that gets: • likes • follow-up questions • “this helped”
…is a full tweet waiting to happen.
Steal from yourself.
4. Teach what you’re actively figuring out You don’t need to be an expert.
People love: • progress • experiments • lessons in real time
“Here’s what I tried.” “Here’s what failed.” “Here’s what finally worked.”
Documenting your real time growth > performing for an imaginary audience.
5. Turn 1 idea into 10 tweets
One insight can become: • a hook tweet • a story • a mistake • a how-to • a checklist • a controversial take
If you post once and move on, you’re leaving reach on the table.
Milk every idea.
6. Borrow attention and add value
If you see a viral tweet in your niche, don’t copy it.
Quote it with: • a clearer explanation • an example • a contrarian angle • a beginner-friendly version
People follow clarity. So, don’t be a copycat.
7. Your life is content
Your rejections. Your wins. Your DMs. Your lessons from clients.
Your embarrassing mistakes.
If you lived it, you can tweet it.
Anonymity + honesty = engagement.
8. Save everything
Never trust your memory.
Use: • Notes app • Bookmarks • Screenshots • Drafts
Content droughts happen because people don’t collect ideas.
Successful creators are archivists.
9. Virality is a skill, not luck
The more you post, the better you get at: • hooks • framing • timing • clarity
No reps = no reach.
Post badly. Then improve publicly.
Also, I’ve noticed that people who run out of content are usually just: • overthinking • under-posting • afraid of repetition
Say the same thing until it finally lands.
That’s how accounts grow.
