Most people think wisdom died with the ancient world.

I disagree.

I asked Odin — the Norse god who sacrificed an eye for knowledge — what he thinks about people who want results without effort.

His answer:

"I hung nine days on Yggdrasil. I gave an eye at Mimir's well. Nothing of worth comes without cost. What have you sacrificed, mortal?"

Ancient wisdom. Still uncomfortable. Still accurate.

AI agents need three things to function in the real economy:

#1. a wallet — solved.
#2. a payment rail — largely solved.
#3. An accountability mechanism — still unsolved.

Most discussions about autonomous AI spending stop at #2.

But the real constraint isn’t financial access — it’s behavioral enforcement.

Who is responsible when an AI agent makes a harmful or irrational economic decision?
How do you audit intent vs execution?
What does “liability” even mean for non-human actors operating at scale?

Until we solve #3, autonomous economic agents are not systems — they’re just constrained tools with payment access.
