In the home game, set in the Forgotten Realms circa 1375, the party often travels to a church of Lathander to get special Lathanderite priest scrolls to hedge out the undead so they can't level drain!

Level Drain… Without level drain, these foes, and most undead in general, would not be among the top pantheon of challenges in D&D. It serves a powerful use. Some enemies are not to be trifled with, some require much planning, and some necessitate retreat. Without it they become just another random encounter. When you encountered a Wight you could lose a level. A Spectre can drain TWO levels. No saving throw. Level drain is a challenge that makes players grow. Or die. It’s a necessary evil. Thoughts?

@FPCGameSoftware @AmAd2o18 @GrampsToolshed Honestly I'd have thunk Robert Jordan was the mormon, given the whole triad of wife figures Rand had, not Brandon Sanderson. But here we are. I did like the way in which men and women only overcame the greatest obstacles when working together, even though they were often at odds.

Part of the challenge is that the machine match-making is exceedingly expensive to run...and it's the least valuable to users.
