I hate how the current administration is handling affairs. Cancellation of certificates since 2018 is just the height of irresponsibility. Destroying things isn't fixing. We are tired of these guys making our lives hard at every juncture. The KIM issue is a clear reminder of just how irresponsible this government is.
There are better ways to address issues @TVETAKenya . Stop making our lives harder. Sit with the management of KIM and address each concern better. KIM is the oldest management training institute in the country. Do you know how many people have been affected?
This country is full of jokers, and this authority is a joker! KIM has been around for over 50 years, it has trained and skilled so many, there is no justification whatsoever for suspending it and it is illegal to penalize retrospectively, where were you idiots for 8 years?
There is no law against a state officer’s children attending school abroad. It’s not jealousy. But there is everything wrong with going on social media with detailed infographics to proudly announce your child’s “graduation” from a SECONDARY school in the Netherlands — one charging between Sh3M and Sh4M a year in fees alone — while you simultaneously purport to champion a controversial, rudderless CBC curriculum you can’t even trust for your own children.
Rule one of public life: protect your family’s privacy. Rule two: sudden, unjustified massive wealth makes people reckless — and that recklessness is almost always irredeemable.
It reminds me of a top CEO who recently “resigned” from the energy sector — the same man who used to regularly fly in expensive cows from South Africa into Eldoret Airport, then post the whole spectacle on his WhatsApp status for applause.
This is precisely what UK’s Nairobi diplomat Sir Edward Clay famously called gluttons in government vomiting on their own shoes.
The greed is one thing. The shamelessness is another thing entirely.
The Kenya Institute of Management has responded to reports of its deregistration.
KIM was established in 1954.
The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) was established in 2013.
The Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) has been ordered to shut down all its campuses after the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) revoked its accreditation with immediate effect. Consequently, qualifications obtained after 2018 have been affected.

@NemaKenya Many of us are out here to support you on this. We however feel your strategy isn't adequate, especially on implementation and enforcement of EPR.
