🔸Nobody chooses to be cooking sadza for sale in the CBD in the middle of the night. Nobody chooses poverty. Nobody chooses to live in a broken society.
In a nation where @ZANUPF_Official has destroyed the economy, killed jobs, loots over US$2 billion a year, siphons gold out of the country, spits on the faces of the masses daily, flaunts ill-gotten wealth and fails to provide basic services - you think the problem is the man cooking sadza in the middle of the street?
He’s not.
That man represents what this regime has reduced all of us to - a leaderless, impoverished, desperate population without dignity and robbed of hope.
You can sweep him off Harare’s CBD like garbage but the dirt of our collective despair will not go away until the goons are gone.
We need new leaders.🇿🇼
This is probably the best answer I've ever heard to the question, "Why did God create evil?"
A professor at the university asked his students the following question:
“Everything that exists was created by God?”
One student bravely answered:
“Yes, it was created by God.”
The professor asked :
“If God created everything, then God created evil, since it exists. And according to the principle that our deeds define ourselves, then God is evil.”
The student became silent after hearing such an answer. The professor was very pleased with himself. He boasted to students for proving once again that faith in God is a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said:
“Can I ask you a question, professor?”
"Of course," replied the professor.
“Professor, is cold a thing?”
“What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you ever been cold?”
Students laughed at the young man's question.
The young man answered:
“Actually, sir, cold doesn't exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is actually the absence of heat. A person or object can be studied on whether it has or transmits energy.
Absolute zero (-460 degrees Fahrenheit) is a complete absence of heat. All matter becomes inert and unable to react at this temperature. Cold does not exist. We created this word to describe what we feel in the absence of heat.”
The student continued:
“Professor, does darkness exist?”
“Of course it exists.” said the professor.
“You're wrong again, sir. Darkness also does not exist. Darkness is actually the absence of light. We can study the light but not the darkness. We can use Newton's prism to spread white light across multiple colors and explore the different wavelengths of each color. You can't measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into the world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you tell how dark a certain space is? You measure how much light is presented. Isn't it so? Darkness is a term man uses to describe what happens in the absence of light.”
In the end, the young man asked the professor:
“Sir, does evil exist?”
This time it was uncertain, the professor answered:
“Of course, as I said before. We see him every day. Cruelty, numerous crimes and violence throughout the world. These examples are nothing but a manifestation of evil.”
To this, the student answered:
“Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist for itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is like darkness and cold—a man-made word to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not faith or love, which exist as light and warmth. Evil is the result of the absence of Divine love in the human heart. It’s the kind of cold that comes when there is no heat, or the kind of darkness that comes when there’s no light.”

Varakashi,
I don't oppose @edmnangagwa because of who he is as a person; I oppose him for what he stands for and what he does not stand for as an illegal State House occupant. He stands for himself, his family, his clan and his cronies. He does not stand for Zimbabwean citizens!
When it’s your season in the sun, don’t forget how cold the shade can be for others.
Because one day, when the light shifts, people will remember how warm,or how cruel, you were when you didn’t have to be.
Empathy doesn’t come on credit. You earn it.
@LynneStactia Mnangagwa didn't have the intention to rebuild Zimbabwe, just check the ministers he appointed since taking power you'll see kuti aida kungonzi president chete , zvimwe zvese azvina basa.
Everyone is blasting you, but I've had similar thoughts before now.
Africans are intelligent, and excel individually, but in government and it's institutions is where we draw the line.
My thinking is, we're unable to do things as a group, which is primarily how governments work. This also reflects in several other group activities where we'd have to come together for a singular goal.
This is also why people say blacks have the pull him down syndrome. We don't like all of us excelling together, we want to always be above the next man. That's why we can never successfully collaborate on anything, this is probably also why the same thought process is the drive that gets us to individually excel.
It is appalling that the army can dabble in Zanupf factionalism to the point of endangering our lives! This #Coup has nothing to do with us the minions but everything to do with protecting individuals' political ambitions using the military. Biggest crime against our humanity!
By abusing state machinery to violate the rights of Zimbabweans, the ZANU-PF regime has demonstrated that it is prepared to go to any lengths to entrench its authoritarian rule.
SA, and by extension the SADC, must hold the Zimbabwean government to account.https://t.co/6ZmYCZbEGO
Let's do something positive for ourselves and others. We can transform this school. We just need $10 or more from each one of you. You can also contribute by sharing. Every retweet tends to raise 20cents. We need new stories https://t.co/oeQd8avPKw
ALERT: The Intel we have is that The State has deployed a unit composed of 60 support unit members, cid homicide ,cid law and order members which will round up Opposition leaders and Civic Society Leaders. They have raided a ZESN office in Grange & consfiscated all computers
It shocks me that as Zimbabweans,
We still argue that political persecution,
Can be stopped through litigation in captured courts.
There’s no need to Pretend we don’t know that we must protest,
& It’s ok to admit we are afraid & defeated.
There’s no shame in that!
#ZanuPfMustGo
@daddyhope Lucky Dube's song Victim got a part that says, "Bob Marley said, how long shall they kill our prophets while we stand aside and look, little did he know that eventually the enemy will stand aside and look while we kill our brothers "💔💔
It's so telling that the last question, which is arguably the most important question, goes unanswered. Everything else has a yes... but the government's commitment to getting rid of all the above ills is blank. Even he knows there is no real commitment to anything.
