Congratulations to Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 and Health Minister Teymur Musayev on the presentation of the Medical Digital Twin System – an ambitious step in the country’s digital health transformation.
The hands-on demonstration showed how a comprehensive digital platform can support patients, clinicians and policy-makers – helping reduce repeated tests, strengthen prevention, enable real-time public health monitoring, and support decision-making with strong data security and safeguards.
I am grateful to Mr Robb Butler, my Special Representative, for representing me at the event, which brought together more than 500 clinicians, health leaders, hospital managers, government institutions and partners.
WHO/Europe stands ready to continue working with Azerbaijan on people-centred digital innovation that strengthens health systems and improves health for all.

Əziz dostlar, ailəmiz olan Türk dünyası XXI əsrin nüfuzlu geosiyasi güc mərkəzlərindən birinə çevrilməlidir. Azərbaycan bundan sonra da Türk Dövlətləri Təşkilatının möhkəmləndirilməsi naminə səylərini əsirgəməyəcək.
Bu gün Ulu Öndər Heydər Əliyevin doğum günüdür və bizim görüşümüzün məhz bu gündə keçirilməsi təbii ki, rəmzi məna daşıyır. Biz - onun davamçıları onun vəsiyyətini yerinə yetirdik. Bu gün Azərbaycan ərazisində hər qarış torpaq Azərbaycan xalqına məxsusdur. İşğalçıları torpaqlarımızdan qovaraq öz ərazi bütövlüyümüzü və suverenliyimizi bərpa etdik.
April 4 — International Mine Awareness Day 🌍
While the world moves forward, Azerbaijan continues to live under a silent, invisible threat — every single day.
• Around 12 percent of Azerbaijan’s territory contaminated with 1.5 million more landmines by Armenia during 30 year long occupation
• Since 2020 — in peacetime — 400+ civilians have been killed or severely injured
• Landmine contamination obstructs reconstruction and rebuilding projects in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur regions of Azerbaijan and safe and dignified return of former IDPs
These are not just numbers.
These are lives cut short, families shattered, futures stolen.
Demining is not only a technical process —
It is about justice.
It is about human dignity.
It is about the fundamental right of people to return home safely.

So, what does it all really mean?
Mr. Prime Minister @NikolPashinyan, let your deeds speak louder than words.
Interestingly, your “peace-loving narrative” avoids the most important pillar of establishing lasting peace and stability in the region, which is the respect of territorial integrity and sovereignty of states.
If Armenia indeed is interested in building peace with its neighbors, why do you, by all means, refuse and decline to start the process of renouncing the claims to territories you all call as “Western Armenia” and “Nagorno Karabakh Republic,” as enshrined within your Constitution and national legislation?
Sorry, but your argumentation cannot be considered a confirmation of the “good intentions” of #Armenia.
The first President of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrossian in 1993: “We resolved a 600-year-old problem for the Armenian people by cleansing Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh of Azerbaijanis.”
French @ARTEfr shamefully distorts the truth, portraying Azerbaijani refugees forcibly leaving Karabakh in early 90’s due to Armenian occupation as ‘Armenian refugees.’
"Lies may travel fast, but truth stands undefeated. No propaganda can bury the documented massacres of Azerbaijanis in Karabakh. Justice is inevitable."

I regret that @POLITICOEurope instead of apologizing to Azerbaijan and retracting its fake news article, continues to spread disinformation to mislead the European and global public.
Meanwhile, in the article of Politico there is a reference to Azerbaijani media that official data showing that “Azerbaijan imported 141.6 million cubic meters of gas from Russia this year”
The fact you referred to is a swap operation, not an import. Such seasonal exchanges occur between neighboring states and this is normal. I regret that the article fails to differentiate between swap and import.
“The Southern Gas Corridor, which supplies EU markets, is only connected to Azerbaijani gas fields, not to the broader Azerbaijani natural gas system,” said Tim McPhie, the European Commission’s spokesperson on energy affairs.
The EU official’s statement is entirely accurate, and we are fully aligned with that.
Therefore, Azerbaijan did not import any gas from Russia in 2024. Period!
Politico is unsuccessfully searching for a black cat in a dark room while knowing that the cat is not there. There is a fitting Azerbaijani proverb: “A liar has to be chased to the end.” @politico
A recent @ARTEfr documentary portrays Azerbaijani civilians forcibly leaving Karabakh as Armenian refugees. This isn’t journalism; it’s a shameful distortion.
And people like Richard Giragosian, well-regarded in the West and quite knowledgeable, blatantly lie on camera to millions of clueless viewers watching the film.
COP29 concluded successfully, leaving its mark on the history of global climate action as the “BakuBreakthrough” with the establishment of a new financial target among other critical achievements. However, during the most critical and challenging moments of the negotiations, when the developing world and Global South was expecting concrete financial commitments from the Europe Union and at large from the West, it was unacceptable for Germany’s Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock to level accusations against Azerbaijan as COP Presidency and other parties to the convention.
Regrettably, Mrs. Baerbock appears to have conflated Germany’s upcoming elections as such domestic politics with the extremely difficult multilateral diplomacy, likely attempting to use COP29 as a platform for her electoral campaign. She should have also considered that these difficult negotiations occurred in the absence of the German Chancellor and the European Commission president, at a time when Europe failed to demonstrate leadership, and the world was deeply polarized geopolitically. But we acknowledge professional contributions and cooperation of climate negotiation teams of Germany and European Union.
As the world witnessed Azerbaijan, as a host and chair of COP29 acted as an honest facilitator to deliver results.

Someone gave an example of Markar Melkonian's book, that he wrote about the crimes committed by his brother and his battalion.
Yes, he did, but for some reason, the Armenian translated version doesn't include many of it. That parts were cut off.
Here are some examples 👇
