เจสซี บัตเลอร์ อายุ 17 (ตอนก่อเหตุ) เป็นนักเรียนมัธยมปลายและนักกีฬาประจำโรงเรียน รัฐโอคลาโฮมา บีบคอข่มขืนเด็กผู้หญิงอายุ 16 สองคน เด็กผู้หญิงต้องเข้ารับการผ่าตัดลำคอ หมอบอกว่าถ้าโดนบีบคอมากกว่านี้แค่ 30 วินาทีก็เสียชีวิตแล้ว นายเจสซีบีบคอเด็กผู้หญิงที่เพิ่งคบกันเป็นแฟน จะมีอะไรด้วยแต่ผญไม่ยอม เลยจับบีบคอข่มขืนในลานจอดรถตอนปี 2024 ถ่ายคลิปไว้ด้วย เหยื่อคนนึงกลัวต้องทนคบกับมัน โดนทำร้ายซ้ำๆ อีกคนโดนบีบจนหมดสติ เหยื่อไปแจ้ง��วาม

ตำรวจบุกนายเจสซีไปจับถึงบ้าน แต่ที่อุบาทว์คือแม่ที่รู้เรื่องบอกลูกว่า “พวกเราจะช่วยลูกออกจากคุก เราสัญญา“ ไม่ได้สนใจเลยว่าลูกไปทำอะไรกับเด็กผู้หญิง ครอบครัวของนายเจสซีค่อนข้างมีฐานะ พ่อเป็นโค้ชกีฬาท้องถิ่นที่มีชื่อเสียง

นายเจสซีโดนตั้งข้อหาไป 11 ข้อหา พยายามข่มขืนขั้นสูงสุด ข่มขืนโดยใช้วัตถุ ทำร้ายร่างกาย บังคับให้ร่วมประเวณีทางปาก ละเมิดคำสั่ง���ุ้มครอง ฯลฯ คือเยอะมาก ตอนแรกจะได้ติดคุกในฐานะผู้ใหญ่ ติดคุก 78 ปี แต่แล้วนายเจสซียอมรับผิด ไม่สู้คดี ศาลเลยดำเนินคดีในฐานะเยาวชน ถูกตัดสินให้เข้ารับการบำบัดและทำงานบริการสังคม 1 ปี ทางด้านครอบครัวเหยื่อคืออึ้งเพราะนี่มันตลกร้ายมาก เหยื่อเกือบตายแต่นายเจสซีไม่เคยเข้าเรือนจำเลยแม้แต่วันเดียว

จนล่าสุดวันที่ 4 สิงหาคมที่ผ่านมา ก่อนวันเกิดครบอายุ 19 นายเจสซีก็เป็นอิสระ ศาลยกฟ้องเนื่องจากมองว่าทำงานบริการสังคมและเข้ารับการฟื้นฟูแล้ว นายเจสซีจะกลายเป็นคนไม่มีประวัติอาชญากรรม ทนายกำลังดำเนินการลบประวัติคดีนี้ให้ ที่ผ่านมาเหยื่อเจ็บปวดมากทั้งร่างกายและจิตใจ รูปการณ์คดีพ���ายามบอกว่าเด็กผู้หญิงสมยอมทั้งที่ไม่ใช่เรื่องจริง ใครมันจะอยากให้คนบีบคอตัวเองแบบจนเกือบตาย แค่อีกไม่กี่วินาทีก็ตายแล้ว

ทางด้านอัยการโมโหมาก เรียกทนายของนายเจสซีว่าขยะ เพราะมันพยายามทำให้เหมือนว่านายเจสซีเป็นเหยื่อ เป็นคนที่ทุกข์ทรมานกว่าเด็กผู้หญิง ทั้งที่เด็กผู้หญิงกลัว จิตใจพังทลายจนต้องเรียนที่บ้าน ไม่กล้าออกจากบ้าน ต้องผ่าตัดคอ นอกจากนี้ยังมีระบบห้ามดำเนินคดีซ้ำสอง ตัดสินแล้วจบ แต่ทางอ��ยการจะส่งคดีนี้ไปหน่วยงานรัฐบาลกลาง จะหาทางลงโทษคนร้ายให้ได้

แม่ของเด็กผู้หญิงคนนึงเล่าว่า ลูกสาวที่โดนทำร้ายต้องมานั่งเล่าเหตุการณ์ซ้ำๆ เพื่อพิสูจน์ตัวเอง ในขณะที่ศาลหาข้ออ้างสารพัดมาเพื่อให้คนร้ายรอด
