@LaurenWalshArt I mean, it kind of is normal. People pay $15 a month for the game, and they somehow break half the game just pushing out an update lately. It's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be, but it's perfectly valid wanting the product you pay for to be improved upon.
@newbiedm@sleepybrett it's an acronym for Dungeon Master Guide. literally it's in the rules that the dm can forego dice usage if the party makes a good enough case as to why they'd be able to do something.
@Knightly_Hist@Hick324 The way the blaster rattled should be an indicator that he had a faulty blaster in that scene. I don't think it's so much incompetence as it is the Imperial remnants just not having the funds for good equipment like they had in the Galactic Civil War as a fully functioning empire
@hoIIowataraxia@EcoEclipse See that's really cool, and good for business. Blizzard's idea of a free trial is up to level 20, and with tons of restrictions. Not quite enough for a game where the cap is 90.
@hoIIowataraxia@EcoEclipse I wanted to play back when it came out, but i was just a little too young to pay the sub on my own. Then of course, by the time I was old enough, WoW got brought onto my radar.
@hoIIowataraxia@EcoEclipse Yeah, that's about right. I unfortunately have never played XI, but i've found an interest in it due to the Dawntrail Alliance Raid that brings Vana'diel into the narrative. Being able to weave more like that sounds fun.
@hoIIowataraxia@EcoEclipse Global Cooldown. Combat is slow in FFXIV because there's very little that you can weave between cooldowns, but in WoW you have significantly more to weave with
@hoIIowataraxia@EcoEclipse I don't think so, no, because in WoW you don't get vuln stacks from getting caught in mechanics. SWTOR I will 100% agree that it is a WoW clone. I think one of the biggest things that sets the game apart is the GCD. WoW is much more fast paced.
@hoIIowataraxia@EcoEclipse As a WoW player that also plays FFXIV i disagree with this. When you get caught in an aoe in WoW you can get out of it to avoid massive damage, in FFXIV the damage you take from aoe is predetermined. WoW is far more forgiving.
@marauder_matt The reason for 10,000 jedi and 0 sith being considered balance is that the dark side is just unnatural. You're literally making the force do something. Hence jedi saying "may the force be with you" and sith saying "may the force ever serve you".
