"Hon’ble Chief Minister, has your 15-day deadline ended or not?
First, you called it a murder and stirred people’s emotions. and now, as the probe loses direction, you’re slowly changing your tone.
Remember, Zubeen Garg was not just an artist , he was an emotion for every Assamese.
Don’t play politics with that emotion. We want justice."
- @DsaikiaOfficial , LoP, Assam Legislative Assembly.

Shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Assam’s beloved son and musical icon, Zubeen Garg. His music touched millions, capturing the spirit of Assam and giving voice to the emotions of the people. For decades, he stood as a cultural force, an artist whose songs will continue to inspire and unite. This untimely loss leaves a deep void in our musical and cultural life. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, his countless fans, and the people of Assam, who today mourn one of their brightest stars.
Sharing an update:
I will be going to Delhi later today to receive our beloved Zubeen’s mortal remains from Singapore. From there we will immediately bring him back to Guwahati , hopefully by 6 am.
Last video of Zubeen. I too am a man broken with grief, just like you. He jumped with a life jacket on. After 1.26 seconds he returned to yacht, took off his life jacket & jumped again. This time, he came back lifeless.

After AGP candidate Diptimayee Choudhury secured a resounding victory in the Bongaigaon by-election, her husband, MP Phani Bhushan Choudhury, was spotted selling vegetables at a street-side kiosk.
When asked about the unusual sight, Phani Bhushan explained, “I enjoy spending time with people in this way. It helps me stay grounded.”
On his wife's electoral success, the seasoned politician remarked confidently, “AGP was and remains unbreakable.”
Diptimayee Choudhury clinched the Bongaigaon seat with an impressive margin of 35,164 votes, adding another feather to the party's cap.

This kind of behavior by the police erodes public trust. While the individual may have committed an offense, such a response is utterly disgraceful and unacceptable.
