This verse highlights hypocrisy—people who claim faith with their words but lack true belief in their hearts and actions. True faith requires both inner conviction and righteous deeds, not just verbal declaration.
Faith is not limited to the present message or the Qur’an alone; it is complete when one believes in all of Allah’s guidance and is certain of the Hereafter.
"And those who believe in what has been revealed to you [O Prophet] and what was revealed before you, and they are certain of the Hereafter."
(Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 4)
"And those who believe in what has been revealed to you [O Prophet] and what was revealed before you, and they are certain of the Hereafter."
(Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 4)
The Quran is not only a book of knowledge and understanding, but it also guides the hearts and reforms one’s actions. Whoever follows Allah’s obedience and adopts piety, receives the best guidance from the commands and instructions of the Quran.
Hypocritical behavior refers to an attitude in which a person claims faith with their words but does not truly believe in their heart and acts contrary to it—meaning the outward appearance is one thing, while the inner reality is another.
Our Lord! Grant us from our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us leaders for the righteous.
