Last batch before I can finally go home to sleep and heal.

​The scariest part of being sick in a frontline city was when several doctors told me I would need to go to Kyiv or Lviv to find a surgeon who could help me. As the doctor who first diagnosed the problem put it, "All the bright minds in our field have left for safer locations."

​This was less than ideal, as I don't have anyone to take care of me in those cities. But after months of searching, I managed to find one person who hasn't abandoned his practice in Kharkiv. Just one!

​I can't express how lucky I felt when he also turned out to be incredibly confident and knowledgeable. Solving problems like mine is his daily routine. Finding him meant my family could be by my side throughout this entire journey. I almost cried with relief after our consultation.

​I still have a long road ahead, but I am so deeply grateful for the medical workers of all kinds who haven't abandoned frontline Kharkiv. They work through air raid alerts and bombings, risking their own lives to save others.

Virginia Giuffre’s death to be reviewed by police!

Women's safety advocates also joined calls for an inquiry, writing to the Coroner to urge an investigation into Virginia Giuffre's death.

Today I read about a mother in Indian Rocks Beach with three young children who no longer qualifies for SNAP benefits because of legislation Anna Paulina Luna proudly supported.

This is personal for me. Growing up, both of my parents worked hard. But there were tough times, and we relied on food stamps to get through them. That safety net made a difference for my family. Anna Paulina Luna just ripped it away from thousands of families across Pinellas County who need it just as much as we did.

The people of FL-13 deserve a representative who remembers where she came from and fights for the families who are struggling right now.
